🛖หมู่บ้านเหอมู่ (Hemu Village)
The second visit in a different season, but the feeling never changes with this village.
No matter how many seasons or years have passed, my brain has crystallized that
This is what heaven on earth is like, that is Xinjiang.
And both times I came back without a plan, I was never disappointed. For
🛖Hemu Village
📍 Location: Burqin County, Aletai Region or Altay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
🌟 Level of tourist attraction: 5A
⏰ Open for visits: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (For those who do not stay)
💵 Entrance fee: 50 yuan
⛰️ It is a small village located in the deep forests of the Altai Mountains in northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. 🌲
And this place has been home to the Tuva ethnic group for a long time. The Tuva ethnic group is a nomadic minority. And separated from the Mongolian tribes
🌬️If you ask when is the most beautiful time, I definitely can't answer because it's beautiful every season.
❄️Winter November-April This village will be white with snow more than 2 meters high. It's so beautiful that it's like being in a fairy tale world. The average temperature is around -30 to -40 degrees.
🌲Spring May-June The weather is nice and cool. Imagine a green meadow with a field of flowers blooming, contrasting with a green river with snow-covered mountains. The average temperature is around 4-19 degrees.
🌞Summer July-August is a short hot period and sometimes it rains. The average temperature is around 20-28 degrees.
🍂Autumn The leaves change color September-October is the most beautiful period. There are only a few places that are considered the most beautiful places in the season.
The average temperature is around -3 to 10 degrees.
🔳Travel Use the method that the admin gave. For other methods, I will add more information (no direct flights from Thailand yet)
✈️Take a plane to Urumqi Diwopu International Airport (乌鲁木齐地窝堡国际机场)
The flight arrived late, so I went to sleep in a capsule bed at the airport (there are reviews).
✈️Then, take a flight to Burqin Kanas Airport (布尔津喀纳斯机场)
🔹When you arrive at the airport, walk along the path until you reach the checkpoint and pick up your luggage. When you come out, look to your right. There will be a bus service point where you can buy tickets to Hemu Village. The fare is 100 yuan per person.
(But I didn't arrive in time for the afternoon flight. I was afraid it would be dark, and there were many of us, so I went to ask about a chartered car.)
I got a price for a 9-seater car for 650 yuan, so I used the chartered method.
🔺For this route, I don't recommend it because it goes from Harbin-Mohe-Hulunbuir-Urumchi.
It's quite a strange detour because the plan has changed and the budget is extremely high. Use money to solve the problem. There is no plan. It takes more than 5 days to arrive. Even though I cut it by using a plane and reduced the train travel, it still takes a long time because I have to go to the other side and come back. But if anyone wants to travel around the world as well, I will review it again.
🔸Currently, I checked from Thailand. There are many airlines that land at Urumchi. It's very convenient. The round trip price is only 8,000-12,000 baht. And it's a 4-5 star airline.
🔹 I admit that everything has changed a lot and is very convenient.
This post is a rough introduction because there is quite a lot of travel content. I have to separate the methods of travel, places, accommodations, and many more.
(I will post details for easy self-guided travel later.)
🌈But the luck is that I saw the Northern Lights from Mohe, Hulunbuir, and Xinjiang on this trip. It was so satisfying.
If someone asks me where I liked the most since traveling I can definitely say that Xinjiang is the best.
Tomorrow, the journey is not over. There are still many places to explore and collect information for you.

Sharing the coordinates of places to visit in Harbin 🇨🇳☃️
Recommended places to visit in Harbin, the version of the closed snow village and no ice festival 😂 We went during March 10-14, the weather was still (really) cold, in the low to single digits.
📍 Saint Sophia's Church
A must-visit check-in point for anyone visiting Harbin 👍🏻
📍 Zhongyang Street
A pedestrian street with lots of food and shops. I recommend staying here if you're visiting, it's very convenient.
📍 Volga Manor
A very large snow village with lots of photo spots. You can walk around all day. The entrance fee is 168 yuan/person. We went by ourselves and called a didi car from the city. The fare there was about 55 yuan and the fare back was about 80 yuan.
📍 Yabuli ski resort
If you want to try skiing, we recommend this place. It's not expensive. We took the train from Harbin Station to Yabulixi and stayed there for 1 night. But actually, if you just want to ski and then go back to sleep in the city, you can do that too. #harbin #harbintrip #harbin #travelinginChinaandHarbin #China #travelinChina
Recommended hotels in Harbin ☃️🫶🏻🇨🇳
Yuefeng Hotel 👍🏻✨
Hanhaba Yuefeng Hotel (Central Station Subway Station)
⭐️ The room is clean, not small, complete with amenities, no cigarette smell in the room
⭐️ The staff provides good service, can speak a little English but are ready to help
⭐️ The hotel is opposite the Zhongyang Street MRT Station and near the Zhongyang Pedestrian Street. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to Zhongyang Street. The transportation is very convenient
⭐️ The room is not noisy. Even though it is next to the street, you can't hear anything when sleeping
⭐️ The price is very cheap compared to the quality of the room. We got it for only a little over 1,000 baht per night. Booked on trip.com
Travel🚌: We took bus number 3 from the airport and got off at the Central Street stop (opposite the ibis hotel) and walked a little bit more. On the way back, you can take the bus back from the front of the ibis hotel. *Google Maps pins the hotel incorrectly. We recommend using Apple Maps.

- The main tourist attractions in Harbin can be reached by train. The train fare is not expensive, starting at 2 yuan.

The Snow Village of Fluffy Bread in a Fairy Tale
In the Sub-zero Temperature, You Can Travel on Your Own Without a Tour
In this review, we will take our friends to experience fluffy snow at China Snow Town. This is a must-see tourist attraction when visiting Harbin. This is a small village covered in more than 1 meter of snow. It looks like cotton balls on the roof, shaped like mushrooms or bread houses in fairy tales. It is so cute that it is irresistible. Because of its cuteness, this place is very popular. Whether it is a place to film dramas, movies, or various shows, people come here to film and experience the cute atmosphere here.
In addition to the cuteness, this place also has many activities such as taking pictures in retro costumes, feeding reindeer, riding a sled, a small ski slope, riding a tube, walking around the village, enjoying the atmosphere at night. This place is very lively. Inside the village, there are many restaurants and food stalls. When you come here, we recommend staying overnight because it takes about 4-5 hours to travel from Harbin. If you take a van or bus, you cannot go there and return in one day. 📌Village entrance fee is 115 yuan, bus fare is 5 yuan, total 120 yuan.
📌We stayed at Xuexiang Meet: Xiaoyuan on the Trip app. Since the village is very popular, the price of accommodation in the village is quite expensive. It is recommended to book in advance.
📌Traveling from Harbin to Snow Village, we booked a minibus from Harbin for 200 yuan round trip per person. If anyone is staying in Zhongyang, they have a pick-up service at the hotel. You can add WeChat and use Google Translate to chat with them. WeChat ID: 13694615983 The outbound trip is around 6 am, arriving in Harbin around 11 am. Local Attractions - As mentioned above, Central Street, Saint Sophia Cathedral, Zhonghua Baroque Street
Hotels - If you're not visiting in winter, it's recommended to stay in Daoli (city center)
Food and Restaurants - You can find Northeastern cuisine and BBQ everywhere. I recommend trying the freshly brewed kvass on Central Street, it tastes great.

I started walking from St. Sophia Cathedral, stopped at Zhaolin Park and ended at Songhua river. Stalin Park is right next to it. Except for the Snow and Ice world, I took a taxi from the Stalin Park to there. Btw Songhua river has a lot of activities you can try plus shopping malls close by. #trip #china #harbin #wintergetaway #instatravel
Harbin’s Winter Wonderland!
This literally felt like a fairy world! I can’t imagine going any other time than winter. The snow makes the surroundings even more beautiful. I definitely recommend visiting if you arrive Harbin. I paid 170 yuan for the ticket plus bus transport. Pickup is at Zhoulin hotel which is right outside the Meteorological Observatory metro station. Drive to the manor is approximately 1 hour give or take. Scan your ticket upon arrival and you’re good to go. They do have buses in the park so if you get tired just find the nearest stop and wait. There are restaurants if you get hungry but you can also bring your food if you want. #harbin #wintergetaway #china #trip #localguides
Biggest ice and snow festival in the world 🌎
#freehotelstay when I first arrived in china 6 years ago, this place was in my bucket list. But didn’t get to manage everything. But finally I got chance to visiting this year which was also first day of the year 2024. Fully worthy to visit this place in winter ❄️ and do some activities inside. Altogether price was 328 Rmb. First, I watched Russian show, then Ferries wheel 🎡 and last I enjoyed crazy ice 🧊 ride. It was really lifetime experience for me. I travelled alone but got many friendly people. My suggestion if you go holidays time, better to go early before 1 pm. Dreams come true 🤍 #solotravel #harbin #happynewyear
Winter Wonderland in Dongbe China!
Spent the morning amazing week with my friends. Harbin is beautiful, stunning landmarks, everything blanketed with snow. Harbin Ice and Snow World is a must see! Took a 14 hour train to Mohe (hated that! ) it was the most pristine place, you feel as though you’re not in the world. You can play with deer, visit Santa’s house (real connection to the one in Finland), go sledding in the snow (felt like a scene from Narnia).

Harbin Ice & Snow Festival ❄️ ✨
#freehotelstay
When we moved to China, we knew we had to visit the Harbin Ice & Snow Festival!
Each year, expert teams construct a city of ice blocks. The sculptures come alive at night as the neon lights begin to glow.
Is it freezing? Yes!! But there are many warm drink vendors. Fuel up on coffee or milk tea before taking a walk through the winter wonderland. When you need a break, pop back into a tent for another warm drink.
Outside of the festival, take time to explore Harbin’s parks and snap photos of Saint Sophia’s.
Definitely add this one to your bucket list!
❄️ Wear proper layers! Temps are well below freezing, so you’ll need quality insulation to stay warm.
❄️ Visit the snow festival by day.
❄️ Get to the ice park an hour or two before sunset so you can see the sculptures in the daylight, then watch the lights come to life after the sun goes down.

🐅 Majestic Northeast Tiger Forest Park ✨🤩✨
#localescapes
The Siberian Tiger Park is a comprehensive enterprise that integrates breeding, scientific research, protection, and viewing. It stands as a unique tourist attraction in Heilongjiang Province and holds the distinction of being the world's largest base for the artificial breeding of Amur tigers. Its primary mission is to protect and conduct scientific research on the Northeast Tiger while developing and utilizing its tourism potential to support conservation and research efforts through tourism income.
Siberian Tiger Park covers an impressive area of 1.44 million square meters. By the end of 2022, the park had nearly a thousand live Siberian tigers, earning it the title of the "Thousand Tiger Park." Annually, it hosts over 400,000 visitors.
The Siberian Tiger Park has established various tourist attractions, including a wild breeding experimental area, wild domestication zone, adult tiger enclosure, breeding tiger area, tiger breeding section, lion and tiger zone, African lion habitat, tiger king territory, cub area, walking zone, and tiger viewing platform.
Here, you can observe over 300 purebred Northeast tigers and also marvel at a variety of large and rare feline animals such as white tigers, white lions, lion-tiger hybrids, black jaguars, leopards, cheetahs, and African lions. This journey typically lasts about an hour. While the pedestrian area, Menghu Paradise, and Tiger Viewing Terrace are accessible by foot, other attractions require car rides for exploration. You can search for tiger tracks and immerse yourself in the majestic scenery, providing endless enjoyment.
To cater to the needs of tourists seeking to get closer to nature and explore the wild, the Siberian Tiger Park has thoughtfully designed and refurbished the "Adventure No.1" sightseeing car. It serves as a platform for tourists to peacefully interact with the Northeast Tiger. The car body is protected by steel mesh, allowing visitors to admire the tigers and feed them through this layer of protection, enabling "zero-distance" contact with the Northeast Tiger.
The establishment of the Northeast Tiger Forest Park not only contributes to the conservation of the Northeast Tiger but also provides a unique tourist attraction for nature enthusiasts.

Russian culture in China- Harbin
Harbin is one of the coldest place in China when winter arrives, having a close relationship with Russia so this city is quite westernise. Places to visit will be the St Sophia Cathedral, Harbin People Flood Control Success Memorial Tower, Harbin Zhongyang Pedestrian street. Harbin also have a largest indoor skiing park in Wanda mall. St Sophia Cathedral is one of Harbin’s iconic landmark, really recommend to take a photo there. Zhongyang street I will recommend to try their sourdough bread and Icecream, it’s a different level of experience eating ice cream in extreme cold weather !

Stay sober at Russian Vodka Museum Harbin
This Russian Vodka Museum is located in Harbin’s Volga Manor. They have a vast exhibits of its brewery machine and different vodka bottles display to take a look. There are some vodka bottles which have some long history. After exploring may proceed to their underground bar to have a vodka shot served in iced cup and some cold cut, pickles and bread to pair with it.

Hungry? Visiting Harbin? Go to TATOC!
When I visited Harbin, I had a great meal at this restaurant.
It’s located on Zhongyang street and is always very busy. I didn’t have a RSVP and waited for over an hour.
For 107¥, I had a Bosche soup, pot stewed vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, celery, potatoes, carrots and cabbage served in a tomato soup), a chicken salad and a Harbin beer.
Everything was delicious!

Amazing Harbin Architecture😍
Capturing the Harbin glow✨
When people think of Harbin, they always think of the Ice and Snow festival and beautiful ice sculptures.
However, beyond being a snow town, Harbin is also a very cultural and interesting city, waiting to be discovered by more.
The Russian legacy in Harbin is very strong, which can be demonstrated by the architecture, food, and people. Many of the buildings along the city center contain Russian elements and the streets are always bustling with Russian cuisine. Many Slavic restaurant owners are also Russian people.
If you want a taste of Russian culture in China, Harbin is the place for you! Save this post for your next trip in China!🙌
