A Magical Trip to Vietnam ✨
A trip to Vietnam offers a rich tapestry of experiences, blending natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. You might start in Hanoi, the capital, where the blend of French colonial architecture and ancient temples creates a unique atmosphere. Strolling through the Old Quarter, you’ll find bustling streets filled with vendors selling delicious street food like pho, bun cha, and egg coffee.
Next, journey to the stunning Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its emerald waters and thousands of limestone islands. Cruising through the bay, you’ll have the opportunity to kayak, visit caves, and enjoy fresh seafood.
Traveling south, you’ll reach Hue, the ancient imperial capital, home to grand palaces, temples, and tombs set along the Perfume River. The historic city offers a deep dive into Vietnam’s royal past. From Hue, head further south to Hoi An, a beautifully preserved town famous for its lantern-lit streets, charming architecture, and delicious cuisine. The blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese influences is visible everywhere, from the markets to the historical buildings.
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in the south offers a contrast, with its fast-paced urban energy. The War Remnants Museum and Cu Chi Tunnels provide a sobering glimpse into Vietnam’s history during the Vietnam War. The bustling markets and rooftop bars offer a taste of modern Vietnamese life.
Finally, a trip to the Mekong Delta introduces you to Vietnam’s rural side, where floating markets and traditional villages line the rivers, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling cities. Throughout the journey, the hospitality and warmth of the Vietnamese people make every experience even more memorable.

Upscale Japanese restaurant in My An
MARUTEN SUSHI-SOBA in Da Nang city is an upscale sushi restaurant conveniently located in My An district nearby the beach.
The ambience of the place is very nice, and very relaxed.
The stuff is very friendly and helping. They do speak a decent level of English.
The food was all right. I surely prefer sashimi and Nigiri over their rolls.
White wine scaled the lowest amount of points comparing to all the things that I tried there.
Overall it is a nice place for a date, to stay for a long slow dinner.

Lovely spa in My An
Rose spa is a lovely quiet place to get a massage and relax. It is conveniently located My An district of Danang city.
The place is very quiet and tranquil, the stuff is very friendly. They don't speak much English, but it was enough to communicate.
The lady that gave me massage had super strong arms, so it was a perfect deep tissue massage. There are more options like relaxing or aromatherapy, and more.
They greeted me with a bath and with floral petals for my feet, and some sort of fruity drink.
And after massage, before they let me go - they gave me another drink and a sliced mango.
Overall it was a super relaxing experience, and it is truly worth checking out especially if you're staying in My An district.

Best Danang's all you can eat buffet
Alibaba Buffet Nuong is the best all you can eat seafood local Korean style buffet that I have found so far in Da Nang.
Just for a 200k dong (220k on the weekends) we got access to oysters, different mollusks, a few types of shrimp, crab, calamari, octopus, fish, salads, fruits... the list goes on and on! They have a good selection of meats as well but I haven't tried those.
The variety is great and seafood was super fresh.
Stuff helped us cooking, two options were available: hot pot and Korean BBQ grill. They open oysters in the craziest way I have seen: with a pair of scissors!!!
We have spent solid 3.5 hours there eating and drinking with my friends, a wonderful place for a long slow dinner!
Note: drinks are sold separately.

Lost in Lantern Lights 🏮 ✨
This town, even tho spoked highly of, is absolutely underrated because no words can describe it! 😍
Every corner of it is unreal! I believe fairytales are made inspired by Hoi An! Absolutely magical 🪄
Hoi An is filled with lanterns and in the night streets are filled with colours and warmth. Great energy! 🥹
There is lots along amazing street foo, bars and entertainment. You can rent a bicycle and get anywhere is a short amount of time. My favourite was a ride by the rice fields. That road leads to the beach. I travelled in January so the weather was not greatest for swimming, however it was nice to have a walk and lunch there.
3-4 days are enough to go around. It is just 30min ride away from Da Nang city. Do not miss it!

A place of spiritual serenity
Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda, located in the Mekong Delta’s Tiền Giang Province, is a stunning blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer architectural styles. Built in the early 19th century, it features intricate wood carvings, colorful mosaics, and serene gardens. The pagoda is adorned with large Buddha statues, including a striking reclining Buddha and a standing Amitabha Buddha symbolizing compassion and enlightenment. Surrounded by lush trees and lotus ponds, the pagoda offers a peaceful atmosphere ideal for reflection. As an important cultural and spiritual site, it attracts visitors seeking insight into local Buddhist traditions and a tranquil escape from the bustling delta. #asia #holiday #Travel #Culture #vietnam #trip
Most epic sunsets in Danang
Spending time at My Khe beach is a great idea any time of the day (and night).
The beach is so chilled and tranquil, it is much less touristy than up north of Danang. People playing volleyball, and frisbee. Some people are meditating or running. I personally love long walks down south. The beach is endless, so my walks are really limited only by the amount of spare time I have.
The sunset are stunning, and often very colorful. My Khe is an absolute must while in Danang.

First Dessert Experience in Asia - Discovering the Enchantment of Mui Ne's Fairy Stream
A visit to Mui Ne wouldn’t be complete without exploring the whimsical Fairy Stream (Suối Tiên), one of the region’s most unique natural attractions. This shallow, red-orange stream winds through stunning sandstone formations, lush greenery, and striking white and red cliffs, creating a surreal landscape that feels straight out of a fairy tale.
Walking barefoot along the cool waters of the stream is an experience in itself. The soft, sandy bed and gentle flow make it easy to navigate while taking in the vibrant hues of the surroundings. As you wander upstream, you’ll encounter picturesque rock formations and small waterfalls, each bend revealing something new and magical.
Fun fact: Despite its name, there’s no official legend about fairies linked to the stream. Locals and visitors alike coined the name "Fairy Stream" because of its otherworldly beauty.
The trail eventually leads to a peaceful spot surrounded by lush vegetation, perfect for a quiet moment of reflection or a photo op. Along the way, you might even spot local children playing or small vendors offering refreshments to make your adventure even more enjoyable.
Tips for Visiting Fairy Stream
1. Dress light and bring a hat: You’ll be walking in the sun, so staying comfortable is key.
3. Leave your shoes at the start: Walking barefoot in the stream enhances the experience and keeps your footwear clean.
Mui Ne’s Fairy Stream is more than just a tourist spot—it’s a natural wonder that invites you to slow down and embrace the simple beauty of nature. Whether you’re an adventurer or a casual explorer, this hidden gem is sure to leave you enchanted.

Mui Ne Sailing Club is the ultimate spot for a beach day filled with relaxation, fun, and adventure. Located along Vietnam’s stunning southern coastline, this vibrant beachside haven offers something for everyone, from thrill-seekers to those looking to unwind by the waves.
The highlight of my day was looking at surfers surfing right on the club’s beach. With its consistent waves, it’s a great place for beginners to get a feel for the sport or for seasoned surfers to catch some fun rides. The waves were amazing and therapeutic!
After a chilling by the waves, the restaurant at Mui Ne Sailing Club was the perfect place to refuel. They serve a variety of dishes, blending fresh local ingredients with international flavors. Ho Chi Minh City was amazing.
I've visited Ho Chi Minh several times already, and it's one of my favorite cities! 🙌🏻
The economy here is quite developed, so there are plenty of fun activities and things to enjoy in the city. 🔥
Moreover, there are many outlets and department stores, making it great for shopping and escaping the heat. The local culture is also present, making it easy to enjoy local food. 🙌🏻
I also went on a sunrise tour in the nearby Mui Ne desert, and it was the most intense sunrise I've ever seen in my life. 👍🌆
I highly recommend it! ❣️
City of silk lanterns
Hoi An is a charming town, and a perfect day trip from Danang.
Hoi An is famous for its market, boat rides, and of course all the silk lanterns that decorate pretty much everything in town.
My friends and I arrived about two hours before sunset. What gave us a good amount of time to stroll around the shopping streets and to see local places of interest before the darkness.
Hoi An is a good place to buy souvenirs, and see all sorts of local crafts.
Many temples, old houses and bridges are also worth stopping by and having a closer look. I personally love old architecture, so I really enjoyed seeing all that beauty.
After spending a good amount of time at the market, we went for a boat ride. And I think the best way to do it is to get a boat for the sunset, so it's possible to have a look at the Riverside during the daylight, and then in the darkness.

Must visit: Imperial City in Hue
I visited the Imperial City in Hue, and it was pretty interesting. The place is huge, with old palaces, temples, and walls that used to be part of the royal grounds. Some parts are a bit worn down, but I think that just adds to the charm. Walking around, you get a real sense of the history there.
The area was numerous bonsai trees was surely my favorite. And the color palette of the place is just so stunning and beautiful.
A tip: Wear comfy shoes because there’s a lot of walking, and the ground can be uneven. Also, bring some sunscreen or a hat—it can get hot.
One more tip: there is a coffee shop on the premises, and some vending machine machines to get water and another beverages.
I didn’t know that Hue was the capital of Vietnam for over 140 years. It was nice to learn about the place while walking through it. Overall, I’m glad I went. It’s a peaceful spot with a lot of history, and I think it’s worth a visit if you're in the area.

Millions silk lantern lights of Hoi An
Hoi An is a small charming town nearby Danang city. The main action there starts after sunset. Hoi An is famous for traditional silk lanterns that local lit at night. There are so many of the lights everywhere. The entire embankment, all the restaurants, every single boat is decorated with the lanterns... it feels like in a fairytale!
I took a boat ride after sunset, then went for a dinner at a place with a beautiful terrace, and then grabbed a drink while staring at the Riverside and watched all the lanterns in the boats.
Hoi An is a perfect place to buy souvenirs, try local food at the night market, and enjoy elegant atmosphere of this pretty town.
#internationaltravel #vietnam #100waysoftravel #hoian
Tip: you can easily get to Hoi An from Danang by bus, taxi or scooter. Just keep in mind that buses stop running around 6 PM or so.
Absolutely scenic road nearby Danang
Some days I just wanna escape the crowd and be truly alone with the nature. And so I found this wonderful option for half day trip from Danang to enjoy the very best views.
The road up north from Danang along the coast is just epic! There are numerous viewpoints, waterfalls, historic landmarks.
In about an hour drive you can reach Don Ca Arch Bridge - railway bridge That looks just awesome from below. It is a little bit tricky to get down, but it's totally worth it.
There is a river under the bridge, the place is cool and tranquil. Super stunning nature, never crowded. Perfect for a picnic and a swim.
Tip: make sure to get back on the highway before darkness.
One more tip: bring your water and snacks with you.

A Culinary Journey Through Hoi An Ancient City
#localfoodies #unesco #vietnam #bestfood #100waysoftravel #neverstopexploring
Hoi An Ancient City is more than just a charming UNESCO World Heritage Site with lantern-lit streets and a timeless atmosphere—it’s a culinary haven that serves up some of the most unique and flavorful dishes in Vietnam. Walking through its historic alleys, I discovered not only stunning architecture but also a rich tapestry of local cuisine that tells the story of its vibrant culture and heritage.
One dish that stood out was Minced Clams (Hen Xuc Banh Trang), a delightful mix of clams fished fresh from the Hoai River, stir-fried with fragrant herbs like onions, spring onions, chili, and peanuts. It’s served with crispy rice paper, which doubles as a spoon—making it both a culinary delight and a playful experience.
Another must-try is Cao Lầu, a dish as unique as Hoi An itself. The chewy, slightly smoky noodles are said to be made with water from an ancient Cham well, paired with tender pork, bean sprouts, garlic, and fresh greens. Every bite offers a harmony of textures and flavors, making it a dish you won’t find anywhere else in Vietnam.
And then there’s White Rose, Hoi An’s delicate take on ravioli. These translucent dumplings are filled with shrimp or pork, garnished with herbs, and served with a tangy sweet-and-sour sauce. They’re light yet packed with flavor, a testament to the city’s culinary finesse.
Exploring the ancient streets while indulging in these local delicacies was an experience like no other. The food, infused with the spirit of Hoi An’s history and culture, brought the city to life in the most delicious way.
Tip: Plan your visit around the evening when the lanterns light up the streets, creating the perfect backdrop for savoring these iconic dishes. Don’t miss the local night market, where you can sample even more of Hoi An’s culinary treasures.

Abandoned water park in Vietnam
Hồ Thuỷ Tiên is an abandoned theme water park. Road goes through a few old rusted water sliders and other attractions.
The place is surprisingly very well-maintained. There are very few tourists, though they were more than I expected to see in an abandoned place.
There aren't much shade, so I'm glad that I came there in early morning when it wasn't that hot still.
My friends and I spent about an hour strolling around and taking pictures of the old creepy roller coasters and sliders.
Overall, it's an interesting place to see. On one hand it is such as shame that it got abandoned. On the other hand, it surely got some weird kind of charm that a working waterpark cannot possibly have.

Make your own incense sticks!
There are a few places in Hue city where you can make your own burning incense sticks!
Visiting Thuy Xuan Incense-making Village on our way to the imperial city was a good idea and a super cute experience. There are a few shops where locals sell all sort of goods, including locally made incense burning sticks. Vietnamese ladies rolled incense right there in their shops, and it was very interesting to watch how this little things are made.
We bought a pack of incense made by the owner of the store, and she asked if we would like to try to roll our row incense sticks. It turned out to be harder than we thought it would be! Thanks to the help of the Vietnamese lady - each of us ended up with a nice homemade burning incense stick. It was really fun!

Nestled in the vibrant streets of Da Nang, Cửa Ngõ Cafe feels like stepping into a Moroccan-inspired sanctuary. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a symphony of warm, earthy tones, intricately patterned tiles, and a design that effortlessly marries elegance with coziness.
The staff here radiate friendliness, adding to the charm of the place. Their genuine smiles and attentive service make you feel like a welcome guest rather than just another customer.

It’s a tropical symphony for your taste buds, striking the perfect balance between refreshment and indulgence. And while you linger over your drink, they thoughtfully provide free plain water, a small but appreciated touch that shows their commitment to hospitality.

Good soup in My An when you're lazy to get fancy
I love local tiny spots that cater just a few options and rarely see any tourists. I found this place in My An, Danang - thanks to my local friend.
Đặc Sản Mì Quảng has just a few options, but then has something for everyone - soup with meat, shrimp, fish, eggs. The place is very local and very quiet. And the food is very delicious!
This is my favorite place in Danang for when I don't feel like going out and just want to grab something delicious and quick.

Probably the best homemade ice cream in Hoi An
This tiny place is an absolute gem! There is just a couple of tables, and the owner - a sweet lady who was sort of shy, but so so pleasant!
Ice cream was rich and delicious, it's really felt like they use fresh fruits and not just artificial flavoring. Plus, Delete brought us some local drink - like a cold, herbal tea that I'm not sure what it was, but it was nice to wash away the witness of ice cream before we left.

JW Marriott, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam💖
Another beautiful hotel, JW Marriott in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam was designed by the famous architect “Marcio Kogan” who is a famous Brazilian architect for his modernist style and harmonious combination of the natural environment And known for my personal preference for his washroom, Kogan’s design philosophy emphasizes simplicity, natural light and open space.
Since the hotel is located in the southern part of Phu Quoc, which means it’s a 30 minute drive to get back to the liveliest spots in Phu Quoc, so I recommend enjoying the hotel’s activities for the few days you stay at the hotel, many of which are also free.
And during check-in there will be a butler who will ask if you want him to take you sightseeing facilities, I highly recommend participating in this event because the hotel range is really big and he will introduce you to their architectural and designer concepts one by one , is a very worthwhile event to take part in, and you can do it at your own time

Independence Palace

Independence Palace, also known as Reunification Palace, is a must-visit landmark in Ho Chi Minh City. This historic site played a crucial role during the Vietnam War, famously marking the end of the conflict when a North Vietnamese tank crashed through its gates on April 30, 1975. The palace’s architecture is a blend of traditional Vietnamese and modernist styles, offering a glimpse into the past with its preserved state rooms and war command bunkers. The surrounding gardens provide a peaceful contrast to the palace’s storied history. A visit here offers a profound insight into Vietnam’s journey towards reunification. #IndependencePalace #HoChiMinhCity #Vietnam
My favorite bakery in Danang!
Bakeries and sweets are difficult things in Asia. Unfortunately, in Asian countries, cakes and pastries often looks so good like really really good but at the same time they taste like nothing.
That's why I was extremely happy to stumble upon Bread & Butter Bakery in Da Nang, Vietnam. Same as everywhere in Asia their pastries look real nice but a pleasant surprise was that they also taste nice! They were not too sweet, they don't taste like paper, they not mushy, they are just pretty damn good!
Coffee is average, nothing groundbreaking here, but my cappuccino went nicely to help wash down the absolutely delicious pistachio roll.
The space itself is very nice, the staff is friendly, some tables are sort of lounge area with comfy sofa-like seats.
