The City of Mist!!!
Dalat is a perfect destination if you want to have a peaceful vacation.
The hill town of Da Lat has long been the most popular location in the region for getaway holidays. Many people call it ‘Le Petit Paris’ and the town even features a mini-replica Eiffel Tower in its center!
This retreat town offers a good change of atmosphere with a refreshingly cool climate. There are many beautiful homestays and hotels there with French architecture. I used to book one and I was totally satisfied with my time in Dalat.
During my vacation, I often wandered around and contemplated this lovely city. Da Lat is famous for its wide variety of flowers, vegetables, and fruits as well as its beautiful landscape, evergreen forests, and minority villages. I also visited the Puppy Farm, where many cute dogs live happily together.
If one day you come to Vietnam, don’t forget to visit this beautiful and romantic city – Dalat.
Strictly for the views
The location of the dalat view cafe on a hill allows it some superb views. If the weather is god the experience becomes more pleasant. The menu, the food, drinks or coffee will have a hard time being convincing at that price. If only they'd price it slightly reasonably it might elevate the overall experience of eating or drinking here.
But the view is the highlight and they have done up the space with Japanese theme in mind. You'd see some elements of that lile a tori gate and the the garden. We got the ice tea and while nothing special it helps with a seat and hangout. So come in the late afternoon, get the cheapest of thing to drink or well just get a coffee If the prices don't bother and stick around. If possible closer to the sunset.

Delicious Food
Tastewise, I think this was one of the best places to eat in dalat. Its also got a beautiful view overlooking part of da lat mountain region. Menu was a great mix of local and classic western cafe dishes. Their menu changes slightly throughout the day with a breakfast/brunch menu which then transitions into a lunch then dinner menu.
The first time I was ther I tried the eggs Benedict and coffee for breakfast. It was the best breakfast in a long while. Its also very nice to see they do monthly specials. So I tried their Buddha bowl and a slice of pistachio cake for lunch. Free filtered water was nice too. As the prices of food here can be more than regular places. I think once a while when you wish to have something different and don't mind the prices, this would be a great pick.

Japanese themed
This was my favourite cafe in dalat. I am a ghibli fan and in general enjoy many Japanese things including their food. I hung out twice over here with a friend and we never got around trying their Ramen or Japanese offerings. Because we always came at the odd hour. The cafe is quite spacious and located in the middle of the city.
They not only provide drinks, they also provide food with these food court like counters everywhere. Also small corners selling cute items and ghibli styled items. Their yard is very large, full of flowers.I enjoyed their coffee varieties and desserts. Very relaxed atmosphere. I'm waiting to come back.

Lovely spot
I must have eaten here 5-6 times during my week long stay in dalat. It was most convinient for breakfast as it was a pleasant walk from my hotel. Sometimes I liked the environment so much that I dropped in later on to hangout, have coffee a d fruits. It's a beautiful place and there is plenty of greenery. It also worms if you want to sit here and do your work on the laptop or something like that. It's very peaceful. Just the ordering is self service and the scanning with qr code for menu is all complicated. May be they are short on staff. But absolutely worth a try.

Famous and expensive
Sometimes I feel like some places charge you not for the food and drinks they serve but for their interiors and location or how fancy things look. I had been recommended to try the woodstock cafe by people at my hotel. Which was barely a minute's walk from the cafe.
During my stay I came here twice, once on my own in the noon when it was less crowded and another time in the evening. I found the interiors to be beautiful and its an intersting space but loud music. Not pleasant and drinks don't taste any better. Yet simplest of ice tea's too would start at 60k dong. Perhaps some scope for improvement.

Breakfast among the clouds in dalat
Have you ever wanna do camping with more style and be among the stars, among the clouds?
This glamping site in dalat is absolutely great. The campsite is well organised. The tent is big enough to house two king-size beds. So it is good enough for 4 fellows.
The package comes with dinner BBQ and breakfast.
Just remember to bring your own snacks and extra drinking water. the shower rooms are shared with all the people.

Lung Chung house, a signature coffee of Da Lat
#vietnamtrip
#dalat
Lung Chung, this café provides a perfect retreat from the bustling city life. Lung Chung (Lưng Chừng in Vietnamese) means a halfway down the hill. It provides stunning views of the surrounding highlands and the cityscape. It’s an ideal spot for relaxing and soaking in the natural beauty of the area. The cozy setting and comfortable seating make Lung Chung an ideal place for relaxing with a book, catching up with friends, or enjoying a quiet moment alone. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or simply looking for a charming place to unwind, Lung Chung provides a delightful experience that captures the essence of Da Lat’s charm and hospitality. One last thing, there are many pets in this coffee shop, you will love it.
A day at Tuyen Lam lake, Da Lat in August
#vietnamtrip
#dalat
Tuyen Lam Lake, located about 6 kilometers from Da Lat city center, is a serene and picturesque destination known for its calm waters, lush pine forests, and peaceful ambiance. A visit to this lake in August, during the late summer, promises a refreshing and scenic experience amidst Da Lat’s cool, temperate climate.
I arrive early to make the most of your day. The morning mist over the lake creates a magical and tranquil atmosphere.
Return to the lake to watch the sunset. The colors reflecting off the water and the surrounding pine trees create a serene and picturesque scene.
August in Da Lat can be cool and sometimes rainy. Bring a light jacket and be prepared for possible showers.
Renting a motorbike or taking a taxi from Da Lat city center is convenient for getting to and around Tuyen Lam Lake.
And last but not least, remember to keep the area clean and respect the natural environment by disposing of trash properly and not disturbing wildlife.
Cute Cafe with a View
Bruh Bruh cafe is a bit in the middle of nowhere but has very cute vibes and picturesque views. I ended up going twice while I was in the area. The menu is not super extensive, and all in Vietnamese, but with google translate I was able to figure it out. I got an Apple Chia tea (pictured above) and an iced caramel macchiato (not pictured). Both great! But the best part of the cafe is definitely not the drinks but rather the vibe and the views.

Dalat, City of Flowers
These are some pictures from my last trip to Vietnam, Dalat with my work retreat. It's my second time and I can never seem to get enough with it. This city is sitting upon a mountain, with beautiful nature, not much traffic, a heck lot of flowers (it's known as city of flowers), and it's really cold especially at night or in January.
The moment I stepped foot in this city, I feel as if I'm entering a place that is peaceful, no city-life rush or feeling at all. So I highly recommend you come here if you're looking for a city to relax and feel like a local.

🇻🇳 The elegant Pink Church in Dalat
Dalat is a hill city located an hour flight or an overnight bus away from Ho Chi Minh City. In a country where majority of the citizens are Buddhist, do you know that you can find a beautiful pink church in Dalat? The Pink Church, officially known as the Domaine de Marie Church, is a charming French-style Catholic church with pink-colored walls and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Designed by French architect Léonard, the church was built in the 1940s by French missionaries. It was originally intended as a convent for nuns of the Franciscan Missionary of Mary order. Over the years, the church has become a significant landmark in Dalat, attracting tourists and worshippers alike with its unique pink façade and serene surroundings.

🇻🇳 The sacred Linh Phuoc Pagoda in Dalat
Dalat is a hill city located an hour flight or an overnight bus away from Ho Chi Minh City. A popular destination that you should not miss is the sacred Linh Phuoc Pagoda, a Buddhist temple which is renowned for its intricate mosaic designs crafted from broken glass and ceramics. To reach the pagoda, you can take the local vintage train ride from Dalat Railway Station to the final stop Trai Mai. The pagoda is just a short walk away from Trai Mai station.
Linh Phuoc Pagoda holds several records in Vietnam including the largest mosaic dragon made entirely of recycled materials, the tallest bell tower in Vietnam standing at 37 meters high, and the longest reclining Buddha statue in Vietnam. Climb to the top of the pagoda for panoramic views of the surrounding regions.

🇻🇳 The vintage Dalat Railway Station
Dalat is a hill city located an hour flight or an overnight bus away from Ho Chi Minh City. A popular destination that train enthusiasts should not miss is the historic Dalat Railway Station built during the French colonial period. It is renowned for its unique blend of European and Indochinese architecture styles. It houses vintage locomotives, carriages, and other railway artifacts.
The only train route still in operation is the 7 km route from Da Lat to Trại Mát, a village known for the sacred Linh Phuoc Pagoda. The journey typically takes around 20-30 minutes. This picturesque ride offers scenic views of the countryside and the chance to experience a vintage train journey through the lush landscapes of the Central Highlands of Vietnam.

🇻🇳 The quirky Crazy House in Dalat
Dalat is a hill city located an hour flight or an overnight bus away from Ho Chi Minh City. Do you know that you can find Gaudi style architecture in Dalat? We had a memorable visit to Hằng Nga Guesthouse, popularly known as the “Crazy House” during our stay in Dalat. Designed and constructed by Vietnamese architect Đặng Việt Nga, the Crazy House first opened to the public in 1990. Since then, it has become one of the most famous and unique landmarks in Dalat known for its whimsical and unconventional design. The building's structure resembles a giant tree with winding staircases, tunnels, and unique rooms. We had fun exploring the crazy house and took a lot of crazy photos!

🇻🇳 Great fun @ Datanla Waterfall
Dalat is a hidden gem that you should include in your Ho Chi Minh City trip itinerary. Located 300 km from HCMC, Dalat is just an hour flight or an overnight bus away from HCMC. One of my favourite destinations in Dalat is Datanla Waterfall.
We visited Datanla Waterfall after visiting Truc Lam Buddhist Monastery located by Tuyen Lam Lake. It was a short taxi ride away from the exit of the monastery. Datanla Waterfall is part of the Datanla Tourist Area, which offers various recreational activities for visitors. A unique and thrilling way to reach the waterfall is by taking the alpine coaster. We got the opportunity to descend through the lush forest to reach the base of the waterfall. After visiting the waterfall, we took the alpine coaster up to the same starting point.
If you are a thrill-seeker like me, you should not miss the High Rope Course & Zipline located next to the alpine coaster. It was the best obstacle and zipline course that I have ever had. I got plenty of opportunities to soar above the lush greenery and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape as I zip from one platform to another. I wish to go back again someday to have fun again!

Vietnam's Tallest Bell Tower Pagoda
#cherryblossom2024
Linh Phuoc Pagoda - Dalat, Vietnam!
It is one of the most famous and uniquely designed pagodas in Dalat with fine carvings of porcelains and giant structures. The temple campus is quite large, with different areas such as the main hall, the Buddha statue with flowers, the wood display area, and 18 floors of hell. The first thing that catches visitors' attention is the 37-meter-tall bell tower, which is considered the tallest one in Vietnam.

Camping in Da Lat - Close to Nature
You are traveling to Da Lat and want to experience being close to nature? Let's go camping on Da Phu Hill.
The beauty of Da Phu Hill is still quite wild and natural, without much human impact.
From the top of the hill, you can see the whole city and the sunrise here is very beautiful.
In the evening, the weather is chilly, with new friends from everywhere, gathering around the warm fire, grilling meat and drinking Dalat wine, this will definitely become a highlight in your trip to Dalat.
One thing worth noting when camping here is that the road to the campsite is relatively difficult. Especially on rainy days, it is quite slippery, so remember to pay attention when driving.

Vietnam: Dalat's Sea of Mist 🇻🇳
Vietnam: Dalat Sea of Mist 🇻🇳
A city of mountains and beautiful nature. Dalat is about 140 kilometers from Nha Trang, Vietnam. It takes about 3 hours on average. This time, I got to experience the way of life and beauty of the city. This is a beautiful and safe city. The only thing I have to be careful about is crossing the road because cars drive fast and honk often. This is normal for the way of life of the people here.
Today, I will take you to another place that I think not many people come to. I think it would be a big mistake if I didn't come here: Samten Hill Dalat 📌 At first, I didn't have this plan to travel to Dalat. But by chance or by accident, I came across a Day Tour brochure, so I picked it up and read it. I saw that I was interested, so I decided to go see the mist and the sun at the top of the mountain at an altitude of 1,500 kilometers. I started hunting for the mist at 4 am and traveled to Samten Hill Dalat for about 40 minutes. I waited to see the sunrise and was excited to see how much mist I would see. Luckily, the weather was cool and humid with a clear sky. I saw both a beautiful and thick mist and the sunrise. It was lucky to wake up and travel here.
For the way to travel: I had a local guide that I met from my accommodation to take us around. The car was a good 7-seater and the guide gave good advice on traveling. Most importantly, he was good at English. He could communicate both written and spoken well. I will put the link under the post. You can ask him directly. His name is Nong Tai.

It’s playing SUP 🚣♀️ not drinking Soup 😆

SUP also known as Stand Up Paddle boarding is a very popular water sports activities in oversea.
It is a very easy & fun way to go & play on the water(in lake, in rivers, in flat water)
Basically, the paddlers need to stand up, kneeling or sitting on the board and use the long shape paddle to propel through the water.
This is my first time experience of SUP in Tuyen Lam Lake, Da Lat City, Vietnam 🇻🇳
