BAGAN AUREUM Palace Hotel resort & spa *****
Address - BAGAN right in the middle of the temples and pagodas. Great location, but clearly not in the city center
Ambiance/Facilities - Really calm cause no tourists, facilities are very beautiful and has a great potential to be a beautiful 5* but maybe needs a little maintenance.
Highlights - Infinity pool over the temples
Avg. Price per Person - at the season we went when Myanmar is still re-opening to tourism 130€/night
Rating - 4/5⭐️
The hotel is really amazing in terms of architecture, design and Location. The infinity pool with breathtaking views over the pagodas is definetly a must. It is not located in the town so taxi or e-bike rental is highly recommended.
The rooms are spacious and pretty clean but would be have expected more attention to detail for a 5* hotel - although the price paid was very accessible.
The diner food options are vaste and qualitative whereas the breakfast have a large selection but no bacon for example that would have much apreciated.
The only thing that we were surprised is the fact that staff speak very little English and the conversation can be very very difficult, when you don’t expect in a 5 star tourism hotel to happen - we stayed in a much lower key hotel in Inle lake and staff where absolutely fluent in English……

Naga Hills in India 🇮🇳
#traveltips
The Naga Hills, reaching a height of around 3,825 metres, lie on the border of India and Burma. They are part of a complex mountain system, and the parts of the mountain ranges inside the Indian state of Nagaland and the Burmese Naga Self-Administered Zone are called the Naga Hills.
Nāga Hills, part of the complex mountain barrier on the border of India and Myanmar (Burma). A northern extension of the Arakan Yoma system, the Nāga Hills reach a height of 12,552 feet (3,826 m) in Mount Saramati on the India-Myanmar frontier. The part of the range within India constituted the Nāga Hills district of Assam until 1961 and since 1963 has been part of Nāgāland. The hills receive a heavy monsoon rainfall and are naturally clothed with dense forest. Placed throughout the hills are villages of the Nāga tribes.
You must need a local guide to go there. Prepare everything such as foods if you cannot eat their local food and clothing for their humid climate environment.
