During the pandemic, many places were closed, but you could still take postcard-like photos of King's College while punting 😍😍. Cambridge is about a 40-minute drive from central London 🚗, making it perfect for a day trip. I traveled alone that day, visiting famous attractions like the Xu Zhimo Farewell to Cambridge Stone, Newton's Apple Tree at Trinity College, the Bridge of Sighs, and punting on the River Cam. Each is a must-visit spot in Cambridge. Recommended train route: 🚅🚅 • Take a train from King's Cross Station to Cambridge Station, which takes about 48 minutes and costs around £26.5. There are also slower trains from King's Cross, so check the schedule beforehand. Since I was studying in the UK, I departed from Birmingham.

I recently traveled to London in early December. It was the festive season, and everywhere I went, shops and tourist spots were beautifully decorated. This made for some lovely photos during the Christmas season. Plus, people seemed even friendlier than usual, always greeting each other with 'Merry Christmas.' I really love the atmosphere and this festive period.

A must visit city to add to your itinerary! I highly recommend spending 2-3 days exploring in Edinburgh. If you’re sticking to just the city limits, then you can get to most places on foot. I started my 2-day trip in Edinburgh with a walk down Royal Mile to visit the independent shops and see amazing historic architecture. Then walked down to the colourful Victoria Street to see what inspired JK Rowling in Harry Potter (hint: Diagon Alley!). Looked in some of the shops along the way and found myself some nice trinkets! Took a stroll down to Princes Street Garden and walked up the Scott Monument to their third floor viewing platform for picturesque views across Edinburgh city. Went to Grassmarket square for a meal at the Smallest Pub in Scotland (it really is!). I felt like a King when I went to Edinburgh Castle, an impressive construction built on rocks since at least the Iron Age. Tip: it can get quite busy around here so I suggest visiting outside of peak hours. My 2-day trip ended with a rainbow on Arthur’s Seat.
