Hanoi - You don't wanna miss this Xmas street🎄
Hang Ma Street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter is now dazzling with vibrant Christmas decorations.
The street is lined with shops selling all kinds of festive items, from colorful Christmas trees to teddy stuff and hanging ornaments. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with people flocking to soak in the Christmas spirit and snap photos.
It’s truly an unmissable spot for photography enthusiasts.
Getting there:

One day trip @ Hanoi.
Start your trip in Hanoi with a morning walk from your accommodation in November when the weather is pleasant and enjoyable, not too hot. Follow the map for about 10 minutes to reach the central lake with the red bridge, the first must-visit check-in spot. Then, walk a bit further to find St. Joseph's Cathedral, which is as beautiful as its reputation suggests. The city is easy to explore on foot, making it a great destination for a short trip. The food is delicious, and there are plenty of coffee shops with good prices. For those with limited time, this is a highly recommended trip. It's only a 2-hour flight from Bangkok.
Hanoi's bustling morning, leisurely afternoon, and romantic night.
In the morning, you can start your day with a variety of unique breakfasts in Hanoi, such as French bread, pho, shrimp noodles, Vietnamese coffee, and many more options. In the afternoon, you can take a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake or West Lake. In the evening, find a romantic Vietnamese-French restaurant in the Old Quarter for dinner, and near midnight, head to the bar street for a wild party. This truly is a charming city☺️

Have a thrilling beer at Hanoi Train Cafe!
If you were to pick the most unique tourist destination in the heart of Hanoi, you couldn't miss this place. It's the train cafe!
📍 Hanoi Train
It's a unique alley where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of beer while waiting for the train passing right in front of you.
In fact, the alley is so pretty and the atmosphere is so lively that I recommend it any time.🚃
Among them, the recommended time is around 6 o'clock when the sun is setting. The street lights will be really beautiful! 🌅
💡 Tip: The train interval is about 40 minutes, which is a bit long. I recommend sitting down with some time to spare and enjoying a glass of beer while waiting for the train.😆

A Charming Evening Stroll Through Hanoi’s Old Town
#cityscape #100waysoftravel #hanoi
After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll through the vibrant streets of Hanoi’s Old Town. The bustling atmosphere was alive with cyclos and bicycles weaving through the streets, giving the area its distinct charm. We explored many quaint souvenir shops, each offering unique, locally crafted items worth browsing. Our walk led us to a nearby park, where we admired the iconic Welcoming Morning Sunlight Bridge, beautifully illuminated at night. Its glowing reflection on the water added a peaceful ambiance to the lively surroundings, making it a memorable way to experience the soul of Hanoi.
A Meaningful Shopping Experience at Hong Ngoc Shopping Centre
#travelshopping #100waysoftravel #hanoi #vietnam
On our way from Hanoi to Halong Bay, we made a scheduled stop at the Hong Ngoc Shopping Centre, and it turned out to be more than just a break. The clean and well-maintained toilets alone made the stop worthwhile, but the real highlight was the impressive shop filled with high-quality local handicrafts. What made the experience truly special was learning that the centre trains disabled children and young adults, many affected by Agent Orange and napalm from the Vietnam War, to excel in specific crafts like pottery, needlepoint, and woodwork. As part of a group tour, we had the chance to meet one of the managers, who gave us an introduction and explained the centre's mission. It was an eye-opening and meaningful stop, blending travel, shopping, and supporting a great cause.

Burgers
Been here a bunch of times as now and then you need a break from Vietnamese food. While burgers remain the main draw along with a variety of craft beers. I have tried some of their other options like pancakes and several fast food items to nible on. It's a modest and comfortable place.
The combo deals are a great price. There are salads, fries, nachos and a good variety of drinks. Overall, I think both in terms of quality and pricing. This is a good place to give a try. Besides, we all need a break from local food and cheaper eats now and then.

Local cuisine
Hanoi food culture was recommended to us by someone at our guesthouse. I figured it to be a small time local thing. But the restaurant was full of people and the atmosphere was great. The menu focuses on local food, although it has continental food too. Aand has many options for vegan or vegetarian too.
We loved the food, the taste, presentation and the quantity was excellent. The place is located in the old quarter and has a nice atmosphere. I think for local cuisine and especially those new to vietnam. This can be a great place to begin. The prices are slightly more expensive than what local restaurants cost. In any case this restaurant primarily serves tourists.

My favourite place
I stayed very close to tung's kitchen and after i tried them once. I think i mustard have eaten there everyday for 2 weeks. The food was fresh, presented exceptionally well. The first floor balcony is a great place to sit and watch the world go chaotically in peace.
The traditional vietnamese pancake with before in it was such a delicious dish. I have tried probably too many dishes from their menu or might even have exhausted their mains and sets. But this place has this fresh quality about it. The food, the juices and everything I ate here felt so fresh. Give it a try and see it for yourself.

Good spot
This is amongst the few places that opens up at 7am. One fine morning while looking for somewhere to eat and get coffee, I found them. Surprisingly they were on the street behind my hostel while I had walked a big circle looking for coffee shops.
Not only in the following days did I try the different varieties of their coffee, I also did their smoothie granola bowl on several ocassions and tried non caffeinated drinks when I didn't want to take caffeine. I think the people working here are well informed of coffee preparations.
And most of the things I had here tasted really nice. I would recommend not just coffee but even their food items. They are 3 levels in those narrow sort of buildings you see in Vietnam.Pkenty of tables to hangout as well.

Brunch
This can make for a very comfortable spot. I have sought refuge here a couple of times when I was exhausted and needed somewhere fir lazy afternoons. They had donuts advertised. I thought why not. Although the donuts were not impressive but the menu had several other healthy options. I even tried their shakshuka and vegan bowl.
Those were different from what those things usually taste. But they were good. In terms of space, they have seatings upstairs. They got air conditioned space plus few tables in the balcony. The prices are alright. They seem to accept cards as well with a surcharge. Overall, decent and worthy of a try.

Special
This is a very unique sort of a place with the vintage ambience. There is something artistic about it as well as old and photogenic. It was a really nice place, that is sort of hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great.
The place was cozy and there are some muaic instruments. The music was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much. It was lot better than places with tourists and noise. We tried their cold brew coffee and passion fruit juice. Both were very nice.
