Why Bird Lovers Need to put Australia on there List 🦜
#australiatravel
Australia is a paradise for bird lovers, offering a dazzling array of avian species found nowhere else on Earth. With over 900 bird species, including nearly 400 endemics, the country is a must-visit destination for enthusiasts seeking unique birdwatching experiences. From vibrant parrots to striking raptors, Australia’s birdlife is as diverse as its landscapes.
The lush rainforests of Queensland are home to the iconic cassowary, a flightless bird with a prehistoric appearance. In the Outback, you’ll find the striking emu and wedge-tailed eagle, while coastal regions host colorful species like rainbow lorikeets and fairy penguins. For those drawn to waterbirds, Australia’s wetlands and shorelines teem with pelicans, herons, and migratory waders.
Unique bird habitats include the Great Barrier Reef’s islands, the vast Kakadu wetlands, and Tasmania’s wild forests, where birders can spot the rare orange-bellied parrot. With national parks and reserves across the country, birdwatching opportunities abound, whether you’re exploring remote regions or city suburbs.
The chance to see such extraordinary species in their natural habitats, combined with Australia’s stunning scenery, makes this a dream destination for bird lovers. Don’t forget your binoculars and a good field guide for an unforgettable adventure!
Chasing the Golden Hours: A Road Trip Along Australia's East Coast
#australiatravel
Driving down Australia's East Coast is more than just a road trip-it's a chance to catch some of the most breathtaking golden hours you'll ever see. As the sun rises and sets, the coast transforms into a canvas of fiery oranges, soft pinks, and golden hues that make every stop feel magical.
The beauty of the East Coast is that it offers endless opportunities to experience these moments. Start your day with a sunrise at Cape Byron Lighthouse-Australia's easternmost point-where the first rays of light touch the land. Later, head to spots like Noosa National Park or Whitehaven Beach for soft, golden light reflecting off turquoise waters.
As sunset approaches, places like Airlie Beach and Hervey Bay come alive, with the horizon painting the skies above the islands and ocean. If you're further south, try Coffs Harbour Jetty or Port Stephens, where you can catch the sun dipping below the waves.
An Iconic Landmark and Thrilling Adventure
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is not just a bridge; it's a symbol of Australia and an iconic landmark that defines the city’s skyline. Spanning the stunning Sydney Harbour, this monumental steel structure offers both a rich history and exciting experiences. Completed in 1932, the bridge connects the northern and southern parts of Sydney and has become a testament to engineering excellence.
For the adventurous, the BridgeClimb is a must-do experience. This thrilling guided tour takes visitors to the summit of the bridge, 134 meters above sea level, where panoramic views of Sydney unfold. The climb itself is both exhilarating and educational, as guides share stories about the bridge’s construction, the city’s development, and its cultural significance. The view from the top, stretching across the harbour, the Opera House, and the city skyline, is one of the most unforgettable vistas in the world.
For those not inclined to climb, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the bridge. A leisurely walk or bike ride across its pedestrian pathway offers a unique perspective, and a harbor cruise beneath the bridge provides spectacular photo opportunities, especially at sunset or during the evening when the bridge is beautifully lit up.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is also an important part of Sydney’s events, such as the iconic New Year’s Eve fireworks display, where the bridge plays a starring role in the world-renowned celebration. Whether you’re looking for adventure, history, or simply want to take in breathtaking views, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is an essential experience that leaves a lasting impression on every visitor.

Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne
#australiatravel
"Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne offered everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment-style accommodation was perfect, with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area, and laundry facilities. Its central location made exploring the city a breeze, with easy access to trams and major attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring my stay was stress-free. I also appreciated the gym and pool facilities, which were well-maintained and clean. The only minor drawback was some noise from the street at night, but the convenience and comfort outweighed this. It’s an excellent choice for both short and long stays."
Rydges Melbourne
#australiatravel
"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Rydges Melbourne. The hotel’s location in the heart of the city’s theatre district was perfect, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. My room was spacious, clean, and modern, featuring a comfortable bed and a lovely city view. The rooftop pool was a great spot to unwind after a busy day, and the on-site restaurant served excellent food. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making sure my needs were met. While the elevators were a bit slow during peak times, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. I’d happily return."
Great Barrier Reef
#australiatravel
"Visiting the Great Barrier Reef was an unforgettable adventure. Snorkeling allowed us to witness the vibrant underwater world – colorful corals, tropical fish, and even sea turtles. The tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable, emphasizing the importance of conservation. The reef's sheer size and beauty left us in awe. It’s ideal for both seasoned divers and beginners; they offer plenty of options to suit all skill levels. The boat ride itself was scenic and enjoyable. This natural wonder is a must-see, but choose eco-friendly tours to help preserve its fragile ecosystem. It’s a magical experience that I’ll cherish forever."
Bondi Beach
#australiatravel
"Bondi Beach offers the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Its golden sands and rolling waves make it a haven for surfers and swimmers alike. The nearby coastal walk to Coogee is a highlight, featuring stunning ocean views and hidden coves. Bondi’s lively atmosphere is complemented by trendy cafes and boutiques. It’s an ideal spot for soaking up the sun or enjoying a beachside picnic. While it can get crowded, the energy is infectious. Whether you're catching waves, people-watching, or simply unwinding by the sea, Bondi captures the quintessential Australian beach vibe. It’s a must-visit when in Sydney."
The Sydney Opera House
#australiatravel
"The Sydney Opera House exceeded all expectations. Its unique architectural design is iconic, and it’s even more impressive in person. We attended a performance, and the acoustics were incredible – truly world-class. The location, with views of Sydney Harbour, adds to its charm. The guided tour was informative, offering fascinating details about its construction and history. Strolling around the nearby Circular Quay and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere was a bonus. There are excellent photo opportunities, especially at sunset. Whether you’re attending a show or simply exploring, the Opera House is a must-visit cultural landmark for any Sydney itinerary."
Little National Hotel Sydney
#australiatravel
"I recently stayed at Little National Hotel Sydney, and it was fantastic! The rooms are compact but incredibly well-designed, with luxurious bedding and high-tech features like blackout blinds and mood lighting. The rooftop lounge was my favorite spot, offering great views and a cozy atmosphere for relaxation. The location was unbeatable, just a short walk to public transport and iconic Sydney attractions. Staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. While the rooms might feel small to some, the clever layout and premium amenities more than made up for it. I’d highly recommend it for a city getaway."

A very popular and bustling café! They have very attractive looking cabinet food as well as great menus. A friend and I had their Wellness Bowl for $23 for our lunch. That contains chilli-peanut broccoli, avocado, feta, roast capsicum hummus, baby spinach, pickled carrot, spiced pumpkin seeds, fried kumara sticks, sprouts.
Very fresh and very tasty! The Latte was made perfectly. No photos of the premises as it was so crowded/ people waiting to the door. Staff are very friendly. It’s understandable why this place is so popular.

Scope for improvement
This was almost nice. I mean there is slightly scope for improvement but i liked the place. Breakfast was delicious otherwise we couldn't eat the mushroom it was very unfortunately chewy. The breakfast chicken patty was standard and presentation of food was perfect.
The atmosphere is great for photography or photo shoots. Coffee was amazing though. Overall, I think it's decently priced, has a great ambience and the food tastes good. I would definitely recommend visiting them.

Kangaroo? Koala? In the middle of the city? Sign me up RIGHT NOW!
#australiatravel #kangaroo #sydney #familytrip
WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, a place to visit if you want to see australian wildlife, but you just don't have enough time to hike around the mountains and testing your luck trying to find any animals😅. The place is very easy to find and convenient to visit, which took us around 15min walk from Wynyard station. I did all of my bookings for the place using their website, and I would recommend you do that also since they have multiple deal for their attractions. I believe Trips also have something similar, so you can check it out here, too. The place really lives up to their name, which is wildlife Sydney Zoo. Their animals are mostly Australian origin like kangaroo, koala, platypus, and many more. Apparently, they have a small education show introducing their kangaroo, which i found to be quite adorable, and by the end of our visit we walked passed the koala resting spot. It looked so comfy and calming. I stand there for a few minutes mesmerized by adorable sleeping pose. They also have another education show about their koala, but we missed it 😔. But still was a good place to visit and chill for a half day trips.
lovely coffee
We only had the coffee, which was excellent. The staff was incredibly polite, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. However, it was quite busy, and we had to wait around 10-15 minutes for a table.
Overall, it’s a lovely spot, but be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak times! Service was also very friendly and attentive, and I loved how I’d get my glass of water filled up without having to ask for it.

Great for work
The coffee here is fantastic, with top-notch quality in every cup, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. There is seating available, but it's more suited for short visits or casual chats. I wish there were a more comfortable setup for those looking to work on a laptop for longer periods.
This is a personal favourite of mine. The prices too are not bad at all. Infact at par with most cafes in this area. But the coffee is really good over here.
#australiatravel #sydney #afternoonteatime
Great coffee
The coffee shop is small, and there are no seats but tables by the window. There were tons of people getting their coffee to go. I have been here a couple of times with my friends.
Most recently, I ordered a pour over coffee (from their guest brew) and a soft serve. While I was waiting for my coffee, the barista offered up a Peruvian brew to try, which was lovely. They also got me a cup of sparkling water for my table.

Perth Crown Hotel
This time I stayed about a 15-minute drive from the city center
Crown Hotel
Transportation is very convenient, basically within the City Zone
It's easy to get to Kings Park or the airport
The view from the window is really beautiful
Especially the night view at night
You can see the Swan River winding past
The hotel is connected to a Casino
It's a five-minute walk, very convenient to go and have some fun
There are two buffets in total
I prefer the one inside the Crown building
There are more varieties of dishes and the layout is better
Especially the desserts, they are super delicious
The other one has special ice cream, but the savory food is more ordinary
It's semi-outdoor and a bit sunny
The room unboxing is really beautiful to the core
There is a bathtub and a separate shower space
The bed is on the harder side, it doesn't collapse when you sleep on it, very comfortable
Next time I come to Perth, it will be my first choice❤️
Let's take a look at the kangaroo with the most photogenic smile.
Smiling Kangaroo A tiny one that looks very cute and photogenic when smiling
But from behind, it really looks like a mouse with a long tail
We were eating with 😂 all around us
Many people ride bicycles on the island
But it's really hot and sunny
We chose the bus
To walk to the lighthouse
The seascape is very beautiful, with a blue-green gradient
Some people are swimming, fishing, and picnicking in the sea
Quite comfortable
The lobster burgers on Rottnest Island are delicious
Just be careful of the crows 🐦⬛
They are very smart
If you're not careful, your things might be snatched away
Taking a boat trip here is a very nice experience

Yagan Square!💞
In the heart of the city, you will find the square!!!!
It literally is a square that connects to everywhere, like the train station, bus station and cbd crossing street to some pubs and restaurants to Hay Street and Wellington.
A landmark you wouldn’t miss!
The square has a small kind of stadium where you can sit all day and no one’s gonna bother you! It’s being renovated, though for some reason the markets inside the building is not open to public aside from the few restaurants that opened earlier this month.

I brought one of the Twelve Apostles home 🪨
Parents went here for their wedding anniversary when they were younger (and when us pesky kids weren’t born yet) and saw 9 of the twelve apostles.
When we revisited it as a family many years later, there was only 8 left. Years of erosion have caused the beautiful natural apostles to collapse slowly.
I recommend everyone who has the chance to, to visit this beautiful place while the twelve apostles still stand!
We also had the chance to walk down to the Shipwreck Coast towards the side. A very picturesque view of the ocean can be seen here, as well as plaques explaining the historical value of the location. Was not able to take photos of this plaque due to the amount of people, but it was a pretty funny story 😅 (Sorry, don’t remember what it was about but I know I had a good laugh)
Collected one of the rocks for myself too so when you guys visit, you’ll probably see seven! 👀 (For all legal reasons, this is a joke)

Western Australia Road Trip (2/4)
This time we went south!
destinations:
pic 2&3: The Big Orange
pic 4-7: Busselton jetty
pic 8-9: Canal rocks
pic 10-12: Quinninup falls
pic 13,14: Jewel cave
pic 15, 16, 17: Cape Lewin light house > Hamlin bay > Margret river chocolate factory.
The trip was made around September, the winter period of Australia. This was a 3D2N trip due to time constraints from our study schedule but overall still enjoyable.
Our first stop was the big orange where we get to see many orange plantations as well as taste some of the orange infused chocolate that the place sold. We can go up to the tower as well.
Our second stop was Busselton Jetty. Admission to the jetty cost about $5 and it’s a pretty long walk to the end. When you reach the end, it feels surreal because you’re so far out into the ocean. On that day we were caught in the rain because there was no way we could run 1 km back to where our car war since we are so far out the ocean 🤣🤣🤣. THANK god there was this small souvenir shop which we hid in.
our third stop was canal rocks and we were so lucky to be able to see and walk across the bridge before it got destroyed by the way is a few months later… It was the most beautiful sight of mother nature.
after that was a hike to a waterfall. We went through bush areas and once we emerge from the dense plantations, we were greeted with wild Wallabies prancing around in the fields and also wide open areas that just makes a person feel free. REFRESHING!!!
The fourth destination was Jewel Cave. There are actually a lot of caves around the area but we chose jewel cave because it was the most convenient to go to. This is a guided tour about an hour where the guide brings you around the cave and out.
The fifth and sixth destination was towards the end of our second day. in the morning we went to the Lighthouse and we got to go up to the Lighthouse and experience the strength of winds up to 150km/h!!! it also offered a stunning view of the coast! after that, we decided to catch the sunset by the beach. We heard that we could see stingrays at Hamelin Bay so we went. But the currents were a bit too strong by the time we arrived.
On our final day, we checked out and headed to the chocolate factory. The most famous chocolate factory in the Margaret River region, the Margaret River chocolate factory. They offer free samples as well as a wide variety of chocolate with insane flavours infused in them. I bought a few bars, took a few samples… Maybe more than a few… And we went back to campus.
overall, the trip was enjoyable. But regrettably we only had a short period of time to do a lot of activities. A lot of driving was involved and that’s the time was lost. But would definitely go again!
