Chùa Long Sơn Pagoda is the main Buddhist temple located in Nha Trang. Previously, it was called "Dang Long Tu" ("slowly flying dragon"), but after the hurricane of 1900, which almost completely destroyed the pagoda, it was moved to the city center at the foot of the mountain and received its new current name. ✅ In 1963, there was a mass self-immolation of monks protesting against the US policy that supported the regime of the first president of South Vietnam. 🛤️There is a road from the pagoda, located along the hill and leading to a concrete statue of Buddha, which was installed in 1965. The height of the statue is 24 meters. In front of it are two sculptures of dragons 7.20 meters long. 🪷Inside the Buddha there is the main ceremonial hall decorated with images with modern interpretations of classical Buddhist motifs. To get to the Buddha, you need to climb 152 stone steps. In addition to the statue of Buddha sitting on a lotus, there is also a statue of a reclining (peaceful) Buddha on the territory of the complex. I really liked this temple complex ❤️#nhatrang

Of the dozen buildings, only four have survived to this day. Thousands of bricks connected to each other on Mount Cu Lao represent towers slightly different from each other. Po Nagar is a temple complex of the medieval state of Champa built in the 7th-12th centuries. Each of the towers has its own purpose - the worship of a certain deity, so for local residents it is an important spiritual place. Until now, the Vietnamese conduct Buddhist rituals here. The largest and most beautiful tower is dedicated to the#nhatrang goddess Po Nagar. Its height is 23 meters, the date of construction is 784. Inside the tower is a statue of the goddess Po Nagar in golden clothes surrounded by incense and flowers.

We visited alapaca a number of times owing to its location and taste. While we did have dinner as well on two ocassions. It is breakfast where alpaca excels above others. So much so that with the exception of one or two occasions, we ate breakfast over here for two weeks at a stretch. Great selection of food. The menu offered a diverse range of dishes, and the food itself was not only delicious but also reflected a high standard of quality. Each dish was crafted with precision, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. I discovered nom nom while roaming across our hotel area. It's located not too far from the beach yet the location is sort of interior like for it to enjoy quieter surroundings. When I saw the menu I noticed the diverse options they had ranging from Thai, European, vietnames fusion and sea food options. A day lager I stopped by when I needed a change from the usual fare I was doing in Vietnam. I think they do things quite well. My singapore laksa was quite decent. I'm a laksa fan and tend to eat it a lot when in Singapore. They do have some traditional items as well but this was the day for otherwise. The ambience is nice. This place had such a delightful setting. We were roaming around nha trang on the bike and it was incredibly hot. This looked serene. And when we got in, we noticed there were not many customers. Apparently this was beyond the kitchen hours so food wasn't available. Between the 3 of us we tried the vietnamese coffee, the cake and the yoghurt coffee. They were all good. I mean you can't expect them to go wrong with such items. In the garden area there were some tourists smoking. So we moved indoors. The prices are okay, you basically pay twice or thrice compared to the very local places with those small tables. Hon Chong Beach in Nha Trang is a coastal destination known for its stunning natural beauty and unique geological formations. Here, visitors can experience a picturesque seascape characterized by rugged rocks and clear turquoise waters. Location: Located about 4 kilometers north from Nha Trang city center, it is an easy ride to get to by a cab or a motorbike along the main coastal road. Hon Chong boasts a large area of rocks with a variety of unique shapes lying on the shore. It is surrounded by the mountains and highlighted by the serene beach with an incredible shade of gentle blue. Hon Chong Beach is sheltered from the impact of the wind by several multi-sized islands offshore. Hence, it is considered a safe place for tourists to visit. Even during rainy season when Nha Trang beach is very windy with high waves, there are days when Hon Chong beach is still very calm, almost lake-like. It is a great place to practice swimming and when there are waves, for surfing. The Promontory: Hon Chong Promontory comprises two clusters of rocks. One is called Hon Chong (meaning “Husband” in Vietnamese) and the other is Hon Vo (meaning “Wife” in Vietnamese). Hon Chong cluster is the larger one which features an intriguing giant five-fingered hand embedded on a boulder. Notably, the layout of rocks at Hon Chong is rather unusual. The stones naturally sit on one another, which creates layers of rocks that can withstand the fierceness of the climate and the sea for years to come. Additionally, at Hon Chong Promontory Nha Trang, you will find two rocks standing upright with another big rock stuck in between that looks like a big stone gate. Opening hours & entrance fee: The Hon Chong beach is always open and free but to view the rocks, there is an entrance fee. This area is open for visitors from 7am to 7pm every day, but it is usually most crowded between 4-5pm. The ticket price is currently 22,000 VND/adult and 11,000 VND/child. Due to its vastness, there are well paved roads for buggies when you don’t feel like walking all the way to the restaurant or to your favorite pool or the activity center. The staff are very helpful and kind. If you get a beach front villa, the bottom floor has a private pool. These villas also have at least 3 bedrooms so perfect for bigger groups or families. It comes equipped with a kitchen and a living room so you can even cook. There are also a choice of restaurants with different cuisines so you are never bored with your options. I would highly recommend this resort if you are ever in Nha Trang.

The resort overlooks the bay on the north side of Nha Trang and has a private beach. Their bungalows are elegant, clean and nice, with an assortment of different pillows you can choose from and a beautiful outdoor shower/tub and spacious bathroom. They have 3 pools, one of them a saltwater pool with plenty of beach chairs around and also a volleyball net. My favorite part was the breakfast buffet. The wide array of cuisines and dishes were all very delicious and their huge variety of freshly squeezed juices just made it exponentially better. It is one of my favorite resorts in Nha Trang due to their high quality service, incredible breakfast and accessibility to the city.

In Vietnam, Lunar New Year is called Tet and it is a huge holiday! The holiday is almost two weeks I believe. I got the incredible chance to watch the performances they put on in Nha Trang square to celebrate the New Year. The group performed martial arts, the dragon dance and the lion dance (on the ground and on the stilts)! I had never seen the lion dance on stilts in person, only in videos, so I was really excited. I waited for about an hour before the performance started just to get a good view. I was in awe as they did some crazy acts like climbing up the pole and jumping on these stilts as a pair. They did fall off a few times, but that didn’t dampen the audience’s spirit as we all knew we wouldn’t even be able to land even one jump with this costume over our heads and in unison with another person at that. It was still incredible, and I really enjoyed it. There are also lots of colorful flowers and festive decorations throughout town with which people takes lots of photos, so it’s very lively and bustling during this time. One of the most favorite tourism spots in #vietnam. The coastal city #nhatrang with the beach itself is free and open to the public. It is a beach with a very beautiful view. Also the water is clear and warm, ideal to cool off in as it get quite hot on the beach. i think it is always fun to be with the local friends if you just want to visit the place , not just cultures are connected to each other but the beautiful of the environment as well. Love the place and fruit, vegetables, seafoods there. It’s all cheap with that qualifies. Lower point, For adventurous one, this place run out of coral reefs, so don’t expect much for diving tours. Snorkeling is quite better.

Getting There - fly to #nhatrang and rent a bike/car to get there by yourself or easily book transport with resort. Attractions - the most peaceful beach in VietNam. you even can watch the plankton at the end of summer nights if the luck on your side. There’s also have 3 small route around the island for trekking but be careful with snakes. so wild so young the island. The coral restoration is perfect so you could see seahorses, various fishes and colorful coral reefs here. Must do snorkeling day tour. Hotels - only 1 resort #whaleisland on island. No ppl live here so you could enjoy the beach sound as it best. Food & Restaurants - resort will offer all - in and actually it’s quite delicious . Minus point that the island is quite far from airport so transport fee higher than expected.

This cafe is called Ha Vu, on the first floor of a new apartment building. it’s in the city center, very close to the Vincom Plaza on Le Than Ton street. They have the salt coffee which you don’t find too commonly in Nha Trang. it was yummy but a bit sweet like most vietnamese coffee. the interior is nice and modern but a bit small. not too many places to sit. their croissants were good too. they provide a chocolate dip for the croissants which is a nice touch. there was also a really cute and gentle cat there. not sure if it’s always there, but I was able to hold it, pet it and play with it. overall, it was a good experience. i think i will return if i feel like another salt coffee. #vietnam #cafe #nhatrang

This is Alma Resort in Cam Ranh, Vietnam. Cam Ranh is where the Nha Trang or Cam Ranh airport is. It has nice resorts all along the beach. Alma Resort is one of the really big ones, with private villas near the beach and two condo/hotel buildings near the entrance. The private pool villas are big with 3 rooms, so it’s nice for families. The villas have two separate floors, so if you stay on the bottom floor, you have access to the private pool. You can also see the beach from your windows. The resort grounds are huge and the shared/public pools are all lined up in the center, starting from the top (near the entrance) down to the beach (where the villas are located). I think there are around 14 pools in total. The main restaurants are located near the entrance, so may feel a bit far but they have buggies which you can take. The food mostly was delicious. This is a small mountain on the north side of Nha Trang. It's the most popular mountain that people hike in Nha Trang. It's probably the closest one to town. Quite often, people go here to camp overnight. The hike itself isn't too difficult if you only go to the first or second peak. The one after that is very steep and mostly made of rocks so, without proper shoes, it may be quite difficult. I highly suggest you go early morning as there are no big trees or any shade you can find refuge under when the sun is beating down on you. Mostly it's dirt and rocks. Make sure you bring plenty of water because it gets hot. If you take your time, it'll take you around 2-3 hours to go up and come back down, including time to rest and stop to take photos. When you make it up there, the view is amazing. You can see the beautiful, turquoise sea and most of Nha Trang, although the only downside is all the construction that ruins the view in some parts. Went scuba diving with Sailing Club Divers in Nha Trang, and loved it! They are fun and professional, and the service is great. Diving conditions were great at the time I went! Nha Trang Cathedral is a colonial-era building built in the 1930s. It is the main temple of the local Catholic community. The Cathedral in Nha Trang is one of the iconic sights of the city. To be honest, imagining Vietnam, I did not expect to see it in this perspective. Southeast Asia has always been associated with Buddhist and Hindu temples. However, when I managed to get to Nha Trang for the first time, the Cathedral was the first place where I went. Located about 4 kilometers northeast from Nha Trang city center, right at the foot of La San Hill, Hon Chong Promontory boasts a large area of rocks with a variety of unique shapes lying on the shore. Some call this place “Rock Garden”. I didn’t expect much from this place but surprisingly I really liked being at Hon Chong Promontory. There you can take really unique pictures! There are several cafes open for those who want to have a lunch or dinner in that area. I have traveled around the many famous places in Southeast Asia. I was lucky enough to visit Nha Trang in Vietnam in the midst of Covid pandemic (as Vietnam was quite safe at that time) and had stayed 2 different hotels there. Radisson Blu Resort was beyond my expectations as the private villa was perfect for a family of 3 with a private pool looking ahead to the Ocean. The room was modern and stylish with separate bedroom kitchen and a living room. You cannot cook but had a dining table with a fridge which was perfect. The bathroom had a large shower booth with two separate showers that had a door to the outdoor pool which was convenient to head right in after a splash in the private pool. There was aother outdoor shower too. Modern and spacious with a perfect layout for the customers comfort. The beach was nice too but was very windy to go in. The gym was outstanding with the view to the beach. Spa was top notch with hot sauna dry sauna with welcome tea. Despite the pandemic the manager kindly opened the spa and the gym for us. Breakfast was not a buffet because of the lack of customers but was aallowe to order any from the menu. Every plate was decorated nicely and tasted amazing. A temple of rare beauty near the city! Only 20 minutes on the motorbike from the city-center and you can reach out this amazing and beautiful place. Here you can find a large temple complex with different Buddha statues. The monks put a lot of love and care into maintaining the beauty it this pagoda. To visit this place , do not forget to wear closed clothes. But even forgot , they will give you authentic capes for 10k dong. From the top there is a beautiful view of the northern bay of Nha Trang city.
