HIDA FOLK VILLAGE TAKAYAMA
HIDA FOLK VILLAGE หมู่บ้านเล็กๆใน Takayama

Trip to Nagoya
it is an incredible adventure! Self-driving is definitely the best way to travel as a tourist, allowing you to rest and stop anywhere whenever you need. Renting a Toyota Roomy from Toyota Rent-a-car was a great choice for me ane my wife, especially with 4 suitcases. Experiencing the Tateyama Alpine Route must have been a highlight. Walking nearly 20,000 steps to reach the Kurobe dam and returning to Tateyama station is impressive. It is wonderful that you could visit that you could share this special part of your life with your dearest. Prioriting your health and body during the journey is so important.

✈️ Travel Tips:
⏰ Timing: Visit in winter for a magical snow-covered experience or in summer for lush greenery.

Takayama: A Journey through Time and Tradition
The pleasure of visiting Takayama, a charming city nestled in the heart of the Japanese Alps, and I'm excited to share my experience with you all. Takayama is renowned for its beautifully preserved old town, traditional festivals, and stunning natural surroundings.
Strolling Through Historic Takayama: My journey began with a walk through the streets of Takayama's historic district, Sanmachi Suji. The beautifully preserved wooden merchant houses, sake breweries, and quaint shops transported me back in time to the Edo period. The morning market, bustling with locals and visitors alike, offered a delightful array of local produce, crafts, and snacks—a perfect place to taste local flavors and pick up unique souvenirs.
Visiting Takayama Jinya: A highlight of my trip was exploring Takayama Jinya, the former government house of the Hida region. This historical building provided a fascinating glimpse into the governance and daily life of feudal Japan. The meticulously maintained gardens and tatami-matted rooms were steeped in history, offering a serene contrast to the lively streets outside.
Indulging in Hida Beef: No visit to Takayama would be complete without savoring Hida beef, a local delicacy renowned for its marbling and melt-in-your-mouth texture. I enjoyed a memorable meal at a local restaurant, where I sampled Hida beef grilled to perfection—truly a culinary delight not to be missed!
Warm Hospitality: Throughout my stay, I was struck by the warm hospitality of the locals. From helpful shopkeepers offering recommendations to friendly innkeepers sharing stories over a cup of green tea, the genuine kindness of the people of Takayama enhanced my travel experience.
Takayama is truly a treasure trove of history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether you're interested in architecture, food, or simply immersing yourself in a traditional Japanese atmosphere, Takayama has something to offer for every traveler.
I hope my experience inspires you to visit Takayama and discover its charms for yourself. Feel free to ask any questions or share your own Takayama adventures!

Hidafurukawa, a cute little town
#tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี
A small, lovely town not far from Takayama. Fans of Your Name must know this town because this town is a location in the story.
When I went, there weren't many tourists, no cars on the roads, very quiet. You can rent a bicycle to ride around the town, but we didn't rent one because we didn't have enough bicycles, so we just walked around. The air was cool and refreshing. The town was clean and beautiful, with lots of trees. It took about 1-2 hours to walk around. There was also Wi-Fi in the town and the bathrooms were clean.
Another place where you often see pictures of this town is the canals around the town with koi swimming in them. However, when I went in the morning, it was raining, so the water wasn't clear and I didn't see any fish in the canals (but I could find fish in the ponds in the town).
In the town, there are souvenir shops selling souvenirs from Your Name for fans to buy and take home.
Overall, this town is another one that I really like. You can walk around and take pictures at a leisurely pace. If you have half a day, you can easily visit. Most importantly, when you arrive, don't forget to check the return bus schedule to Takayama so you can plan your travel time according to the return bus schedule.

Stepping Back in Time in Takayama
During my trip to explore Gifu prefecture, we stayed for 2 nights at Hida Takayama, a quaint town with a famous old town, Sanmachi Suji.
As we strolled along the old streets of Sanmachi Suji, I couldn't help but feel like I had stepped back in time. The traditional wooden houses with their latticed windows and sloping roofs added to the old-world charm. The streets were lined with traditional sake breweries, tea houses, and craft shops, each with its own unique character.
I also tried that was a local snack that was delicious. It's called Gohei Mochi, a grilled rice cake skewered on a stick and coated with a sweet miso sauce. Trust me, it's a must-try!
One of my favorite discoveries was a quaint little gallery showcasing local artisans' souvenirs and crafts. We bought ourselves birds made of paper, as they were so cute (and cheap!).
If you ever find yourself in this part of Japan, make sure to take a leisurely stroll through Sanmachi Suji. You won't be disappointed by its timeless beauty and the warm hospitality of its locals.

Tranquil Stay in Hida Takayama
Hi guys, I wanted to share about my stay at Tabino Hotel in Hida Takayama. I think this is a relatively new hotel, which is not very expensive, considering they have an outdoor onsen. After a long day of exploring, I soaked my tired body in the hot spring, surrounded by nature's beauty. It was pure bliss!
The room itself was pretty small, but the hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. They even let us borrow traditional yukatas, those comfy Japanese robes, which made the whole experience even more authentic. I mean, who doesn't love lounging around in a yukata?
The onsen itself was heavenly. The hot mineral-rich water melted away all my stress and fatigue. I could feel my muscles relaxing, and the serene atmosphere was just what I needed. It was like a mini retreat within my vacation!
The downside of staying here is that it’s pretty far from the train station. However, the hotel provides a free shuttle bus for its customers, so, as long as you can plan your itinerary well, the distance shouldn’t be a problem!
