2024 Wuhan Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in December)
Wuhan is also called "River City" as the Yangtze and Han rivers separate Wuhan into three areas: Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang. Long ago, the modernization movement led to this place having a number of first-class factories. The century-old buildings of Hankou bore witness to the growing prosperity of that time. The Wuchang Uprising of 1911 here marked the establishment of the Warlord Era. Currently, Wuhan's many institutions of higher education completely suffuse the area with vitality. Optics Valley, a software park in the free-trade zone, also has become one of new Wuhan's core locations. Tanhualin Art Village and Hanyang Art Zone are two places highly unlikely to disappoint young artistic types. The cherry blossoms of Wuhan University and East Lake in the spring attract the interest of countless tourists. Reganmian (hot dry noodles) and duck's neck are both traditional local delicacies. You should not miss the opportunity to try either of them. Lounging over a rich breakfast is a good way to spend the morning and a better way to get an idea of the way in which the people of Wuhan live.

I've stayed in countless hotels, but this high-rise river view hotel is the most amazing.
Wow, this time I stayed in a high-rise hotel on the 51-56th floors of the Ping An Building in Jianghan District, and it really opened my eyes! You can overlook the entire river view and city view from the room. The night view light show is even more beautiful, it's simply intoxicating!
The location is also first-class, downstairs is the HAPPY platform, Wuhan Water Tower, Dahankou Food Street, and there are shopping malls, food streets, and music bars around, it's so convenient to eat, drink, play, and stay! The transportation is also very convenient, with subway and bus stations nearby, it's super convenient to go anywhere!
The room design is also super good, there are river view double rooms and twin rooms, as well as sofa beds, which can meet the needs of multiple people traveling and family outings. The bedding is also super comfortable, the Prant series of high-quality bedding, I slept so relaxed!
What surprised me the most was the hotel's service, it's simply first-class! There are self-service laundry rooms, gyms, reading bars, etc., and the key is that they are all free! Put the clothes in the washing machine, indicate the room number and you can leave, the hotel will help you wash and iron, and then send it to the room, it's really thoughtful!
The breakfast is also super rich, there are all kinds of Wuhan specialty foods, you don't have to go out to find breakfast! The child also really likes it, there are many snacks downstairs at the happy platform, which makes him dazzled!
When checking out, the front desk also gave the child a lot of snacks, which really moved me! Next time I come to Wuhan, I will stay in this hotel again! I highly recommend it to all of you, you must come and experience it! 😄💕
Amazing architecture: Myanmar-style temple in Wuhan
#traveldiaries #china
Such a surprise to discover this Buddhist temple built in the architectural style of Indian and Burmese temples.
The Gude temple has a history of more than 140 years, and is unique in combining features of the Christian church, the Islamic mosque and the architecture of Ancient Greece.
The temple is even more striking due to the high-rise modern blocks surrounding it, which offers a fascinating contrast.
📍Address: 29 Gong Nong Bing Lu, Jiang’an District, Wuhan, Hubei, China.
Getting there: take the metro to Toudao Road station, it’s a short walk from there.

Exploring The Yellow Crane Tower - Wuhan’s Iconic Landmark
The famous Yellow Crane tower in Wuhan representing the city's rich history and stunning architecture. Perched on the banks of the Yangtze River, this iconic structure offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into ancient Chinese culture.
You can visit the Yellow Crane Tower during the day or at night. At night, the tower is beautifully illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere that is perfect for evening strolls.
Getting there: You can take a taxi or use Didi, a popular ride-hailing app, to get there directly. Alternatively you could also take the subway train.
💰Ticketing: Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the entrance. If you're a student, don't forget to bring your student ID, as there are discounts available.
I recommend bringing your own bottled water, as the prices at the venue can be three times higher than those outside (speaking from experience)
Additionally, I found that the souvenirs sold at the entrance are much cheaper than those inside the tower. You can even bargain with local vendors for a better price, which is a great way to score some unique items while saving money.

You don't have to go abroad to visit Egypt! Just take Subway Line 2 to Little Egypt in Wuhan!!
Wuhan is a great place for photography📸
It's perfect for post-apocalyptic style photos~
It feels like you're abroad, and every photo you take is amazing~
And it's not just for photos
There's also a museum you can visit
There are tombs, workshops, architectural sites, and other relics. It's also the earliest discovered "front palace, rear sleeping quarters" architectural layout in China
The museum has a large number of bronze, jade, and pottery exhibits. If it's too hot, you can visit the museum first, enjoy the air conditioning, and wait for the sun to go down before going out to take photos
Apart from the Gude Temple, this is probably the most foreign-looking temple in Wuhan!
White walls and golden domes
This European-style building is located on Canglong Island in Jiangxia, Wuhan. The temple is currently under renovation and is expected to officially open on National Day.
By then, everyone can go and take photos and check in.
Location: Lianhua Temple, Wuhan
Self-driving: Navigate to "Lianhua Temple", nearby (parking available)
Photo spots:
Landscape Square: The effect of the arches and corridors is really foreign.
Reflection: The pool next to it can be used to shoot building reflections, and the shooting effect is very good.
!! The photos are better when the weather is clear!
You must go to see the water dance show at least once
The live shock index 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It is recommended to understand the plot in advance. Unlike traditional acrobatics, the stage's sound, light, and electrical effects are worth experiencing.
Sitting in the front row might get you slightly wet.
Overall, I personally think the sound effects are better than those at the Qintai Grand Theatre.
If you have young children, it is not recommended to bring them. They might not be able to sit still for an hour and a half.
Overall, I still think it's pretty good.
Wuhan citywalk - Must Experience🌹♥️
#citydaytours
Life advice: Before leaving Wuhan, be sure to come to CityWalk!! A must visit walking route for traveling to Wuhan in the next five months. The first few episodes provide a detailed introduction. If you have more than three days and two nights, don't step on the thunder attack. However, if you only have one day and a mobile phone, then this classic and free happy city walk in Hankou is not to be missed. Wuhan, the indigenous people, and those who come for tourism should not miss it. ("Xinjiang route: Gude Temple, Liberation Park, Dayi, Haomengling Road, Shanhaiguan Road, Hankou Yangtze River Beach, Lihuangye Metro: Line 1 Huangpu Road, Exit D, breaking through the road. People need to make an appointment in advance. The European architectural style of Gude Temple makes you feel like you are in a foreign country. Finding angles easily can avoid being rare in the temple. ◦ I use... The treasure of love is often visited in new places, where you can eat, drink, play music, and find anything you want. Nowadays, when you come to Wuhan for tourism and sweeping the streets, in addition to the iconic buildings that are far from internet celebrities, there are also 3D screens here“ I must check in when I am in Wuhan. Escape into the historic district under the trees, where old western-style houses can be seen everywhere, making this area stand out from the crowd. There are many cute photo check-in machine locations. Follow me to take pictures from the second stop in Wuhan, the third stop in Tiandi, Haomengling Road, to small shops on the street like treasure chests with various doors suitable for PLMM photography. On weekends, there are not many people, and a casual photo creates a sense of atmosphere. The fourth stop in Hankou is the French style manor and vines with flowers on the Yangtze River beach, as well as the Yangtze River Second Bridge and frame. The Puwei Flower on Zhijiang Avenue is already flourishing, and the street is really beautiful under the light and shadow. The street is short but there are various coffee shops in Kuangxian County. The antique shop is a landmark street in Wuhan, and the street screen is the fifth stop of the century old Ba Gong House, Lihuang Po Road Art Shop
The best hotel to stay in Wuhan
1. Dongjia Xishe Homestay is located in Dongtou Village, East Lake Botanical Garden.
The environment of the homestay is very good. It is very quiet at night. Because it was quite comfortable, I extended my stay for two more nights. The service of the housekeeper is very good. The homestay has many facilities for children, which is very suitable for bringing children to stay. However, there are a few points to note:
2. The homestay is a stair house without an elevator. You need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs by yourself, which is indeed not very convenient. However, there is a housekeeper who can help. My room is on the third floor. This room type is available on both the second and third floors, but the view on the third floor is better. It also has central air conditioning, so I chose the third floor without hesitation.
3. Since the homestay is in the village, there will be some insects on the balcony, but the housekeeper can solve this. You can give your laundry to the housekeeper for washing, but the homestay does not have a dryer, so you need to air dry naturally.
4. There are almost no snacks and restaurants around, so you can only go out by taxi or order takeout for meals. The choice of shops is also limited. If you can accept all of the above, I believe it will be a very good stay experience. It is a very nice place with very good air quality.
In Wuhan!! A newly opened free beach island, perfect for sand digging and water play, so chill
Who would know this is Wuhan
My friends thought I went on a beach vacation
After the renovation of Donghu South Road, everyone is crowding Lingbo Gate
This hidden little beach is right next to it, with much fewer people

If you are a tourist in Wuhan, after visiting Lingbo Gate, you must come here

The Icon of Wuhan- The Yellow Crane Tower
Yellow Crane Tower is located on Snake Hill in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Enjoying the fame of 'The First Scenery Under Heaven', it is one of the most renowned towers south of the Yangtze River. Its cultural significance led to it being made the symbol of Wuhan City. The Yellow Crane Tower has a very long and complicated history. It was first built in 223, during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280). Due to its ideal location, it was built by Sun Quan (182-252, King of Wu) as a watchtower for his army. Wuhan. Surprising city
Wuhan surprised me! It's a bustling city with a rich history. I wandered the Yellow Crane Tower, its views incredible. Walking along the riverside at Hankou was peaceful, with locals enjoying the cool breeze. The street food scene was amazing - I devoured spicy noodles and fluffy scallion pancakes. Despite everything I'd heard, the city felt energetic and full of life. Definitely a place to experience China's modern and traditional sides

Everyone in my Moments is asking about it|The High-rise Sunset Lake View Hotel
The High-rise Sunset Lake View Hotel. I still remember the last time I visited Wuhan was about 12 years ago, and this time I took the opportunity to take my parents out for a stroll. This visit, I found that many of the hotels I had stayed in before had closed down. Before coming, I did some research online and saw that a new high-rise hotel had opened in Wuhan, so I decided to come and experience it. Day1. When we arrived at the hotel, it was already afternoon, just in time for the sunset. As I opened the door to our room, the view of the setting sun's afterglow scattered across the lake greeted us, shimmering and picturesque, as if we were in a fairyland, which was incredibly pleasant! My parents started taking photos non-stop as soon as they entered, and the pictures turned out great, so much so that everyone in my Moments started asking which hotel it was. Day2. Nearby the hotel, there are attractions such as the Yellow Crane Tower and the Hubei Provincial Museum, all within close distance. Here, one can truly experience the poetic essence of Li Bai's verse 'Playing the jade flute in the Yellow Crane Tower, the plum blossoms of the river city fall in May.' Since we were traveling, convenient transportation was essential, and there was a subway station right below the hotel, which was very convenient. Day3. We didn't go out on the third day because Shahu Park was right next to the hotel. We took our parents to enjoy the Monet Garden in Shahu Park, flew kites, and took a walk... Another beautiful day😊. In the evening, we chose to dine at the hotel, and the buffet on the second floor had a rich variety of dishes, including various seafood snacks. Their desserts were especially delicious, sweet but not cloying, and there were many styles to choose from. The elderly also liked it very much. Before coming this time, we informed the hotel that the elderly had some mobility issues, and the hotel arranged a room for us with handrails in the toilet and washbasin, which was really thoughtful! My parents were also very satisfied!

Huge news! Wuhan has won big!! The sea of marigold flowers spanning thousands of acres is strikingly similar to Altay.
Who would have thought that the romance of Wuhan in May would start from here
Horse herds, hillsides, seas of flowers, and grasslands make up this oil painting
The world is in the left hand, and lying down means sleep.
This summer, come here to easily find your own Altay
Mulans Prairie Tour Route
Scenic gate → Prairie scenery → Cute pet ranch → Small train second station (marigold flower sea viewing) → Third station (Song of War in the Clouds) → Fourth station. Return trip (camping, picnic)
📷Photo-taking tips
There is a path in the middle of the marigold flower sea, and every camera position is a good shot, with the lonely tree behind the hillside
For photography on sunny days, it is recommended to shoot in the morning or after five in the afternoon to avoid overexposure. Wait in a yurt for horses to pass by in the distance, capturing the full view of the marigold flowers, the path, and the horse trail, really reminiscent of Altay
After enjoying the flowers, there are still many activities to enjoy, such as a parent-child playground, grass sliding, horseback riding, archery, etc.
If you want to play for another day, the newly discovered 'Desert Oasis' homestay feels like being in Morocco
'Being bought by beautiful scenery, all that's left is a good mood
