超级cttUniquely, the Royal Theatre entrance ticket gets you to see a Khon performance. There is text at the top explaining the story. All the dances are based on Hindu epics and stories from the Ramayana. The theatre has a nice coffee shop and the lounge is clean and well equipped. After the show the dancers come out for pictures. There is live orchestral music and it is a unique glimpse into Thai culture - better than the dance performances in restaurants. The story is about Rama, Sida, Hanuman and the evil Thotsakan and it plays out all the plots from the cartoon. You can follow the story with English subtitles. The show is cleverly designed and choreographed. The pace can be a little slow but it allows you to soak in the scenery and costumes.
