Dear friends, We are excited to invite you to the first CSR Initiative of a kind in Azerbaijan, where adults from the business ecosystem play social football, so that kids from the marginalized backgrounds can play at no cost. We are well aware that there is big demand across all age categories of Azerbaijan, Regardless of their background, every child deserves a chance to live an active, resilient, healthy lifestyle. Considering this, we decided to kickstart our CSR initiative and collaborate with both private and public companies in giving back to the community. Join our Goalplus Kids Initiative, where “We Play, so that Kids can Play for Free.” With the support and participation of Wolt, and other partners of GoalPlus we are inviting private and public entities to become a part of the first Corporate Social League. This time we bring you news from the The George Washington University's (GWU) New Venture Competition (NVC) - one of the most prestigious collegiate innovation competitions in the US and a top-1 univeristy entrepreneurship competition based on Times’ ranking (2021). Among 500 total entrant participants and 198 teams, Goalplus got the 2nd place in the Social Innovation track! We also won the Global Impact Prize for having great potential for measurable social impact, awarded by Q Advisors. We acknowledge that receiving external validation from experts, mentors and judges boosts our motivation to develop further bringing Goalplus to new heights. For us, winning a pitch competition isn’t just a trophy on the shelf: it’s a springboard to elevate our spirit! We extend our special heartfelt thanks to Kate Heath, Director of Student Entrepreneurship at GW, and Bob Smith, Director of I-Corps at GW, for their invaluable guidance and support throughout the competition. Their mentorship has been instrumental in our success! We would also like to deliver gratitude to the jury of the Social Innovation track, namely JT Liddell, MBA 📈, Jennie Blumenthal, Zach Leverenz, Lisa Morton, Phoebe Van Duinen for transparent evaluation and thought-provoking questions.
