During November 11–22, COP29 brought together global leaders to tackle climate challenges. Sustainera Solutions co-organized 15 impactful events and directly participated in 11, fostering dialogue on sustainable finance, climate resilience, and innovation. Reflecting on COP29: Major Milestones for Climate Action COP29 in Baku marked a pivotal moment for global climate commitments, bringing together over 70,000 participants from 197 countries to advance solutions for a sustainable future.  COP29 set the stage for increased ambition and tangible progress as we approach COP30. Here are some of the key outcomes:

Day 10 @ COP29 : One of the highlights of the day was the powerful and thought-provoking panel discussion: “From Consumerism to Circularity: Addressing Overconsumption through Resource Efficiency and Climate Action.” Moderated by Murad Huseynov from Sustainera Solutions, the session brought together a stellar lineup of experts: Ali Mammadov (AKKIK MMC), Suleyman Aliyev (Smart Waste LLC), Shirin Jamalli (Almet Holding) Gulnara Aslanbayli (American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham Azerbaijan)) The panelists offered actionable insights and inspiring examples of how businesses and policymakers can align to make this transition.

It was a pleasure for us at Sustainera Solutions to collaborate with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Climate & Company on driving impactful discussions about #climatereporting and #sustainability. We’re proud to be part of such meaningful dialogues and look forward to more collaborations! 

Day 9 at COP29 was packed with impactful discussions and knowledge-sharing! The day kicked off at the Blue Zone with an engaging panel discussion on "Water Resilience and Climate Change: Impacts on Agriculture, Infrastructure, and Business Continuity", moderated by Ilkin HAJI. Esteemed panelists Naila Mehrabova (Azersun Holding ), Hilton Lucio (ANTEA Brasil ), Alicia M. Fantozzi , and Bryan Ingram (Alpha Green LLC.) shared their valuable insights on this critical topic. At the Silk Way West Airlines pavilion, we hosted a workshop on ESG Basics, delivered by Narmina Aliyeva and Murad Huseynov, sparking meaningful conversations about ESG and sustainability. The day concluded with Ilkin HAJI participating as a panelist in the discussion "Water is Life! Sustainable Water Use: Role of SMEs", alongside Ulduza K. (Digital Umbrella ), and Robert Brears (FutureWater , UNFCCC-WGEO Regional Collaboration Centre (RCC) MENA and SA ). A big thank you to all the contributors for driving these essential dialogues on sustainability and resilience!

Day 8 @COP29: The day started with an inspiring panel discussion, "Enablers of a Sustainable Future: Nurturing Climate Champions for Future Climate Action," moderated by Narmina Aliyeva from Sustainera Solutions. Esteemed keynote speaker Jeyhun J. Karamov and panelists Hilton Lucio, Gwendolyn Burchell MBE, Zohreh Khalilzad, and Ulviyya Mikayilova shared their thought-provoking insights on this vital and timely topic. We also co-hosted a dynamic panel discussion with German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) on "Technological Innovations for Sustainability: Emerging Technologies Enhancing Environmental Performance Across Industries." Today's exchange of ideas highlighted the critical role of innovation and inclusive approaches in driving climate action. Stay tuned !
