  • On Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, Barbados welcomed the Oceania Nautica for its inaugural port of call for the winter season. This beautiful addition to the Oceania Cruises fleet, carrying 698 guests, underscores the growing significance of cruise tourism to our island’s vibrant economy. This winter, Barbados is set to host 398 cruise calls, welcoming an estimated 698,580 passengers through the Port of Bridgetown. Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Hon. Ian Gooding-Edghill, remarked that to support this momentum strategic investments have been made in our port infrastructure. These include the resurfacing of Berths 2 and 3 for smoother, safer operations and plans for a luxury vessel suite at the northern end of the terminal, which is already underway. #TheBTMI #LoveBarbados #VisitBarbados #TourismForward
