Today is Peace, Relief, and Recovery Day at #COP29 – a crucial moment to recognize that climate action and peace go hand in hand. That’s why we are calling for climate action to be conflict-sensitive and for peace to be a priority at the ongoing COP and upcoming COPs. The Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University, has endorsed the Common Principles for Effective Climate Finance and Action for Relief, Recovery, and Peace. As part of the Peace@COP collective, we are happy to share a policy paper providing recommendations for involving peace in climate action negotiations.
