We are introducing Dr. Nabeel Mahmud, Dr. Sifat Momen, Dr. Shafin Rahman, as the panelists and Mr Saif Ahmed as the moderator for the panel discussion entitled “Al vs Humans: Collaborators or Competitors in the Job Market” in Student Professional Awareness Conference (SPAC) 2024. Dr. Nabeel Mohammad is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering(ECE) at North South University. Also he is a distinguished academic and researcher with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Monash University, Australia. He began his career as a Software Developer at Editure Lta., before transitioning into academia to complete his PhD at Monash University. Dr. Sifat Momen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North South University. Dr. Momen's PhD research explored the intersection of biology and engineering, drawing inspiration from the self-organizing behavior of eusocial insects. Dr. Shafin Rahman is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at North South University. His current research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Computer Vision. Saif Ahmed is an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North South University, a professional data scientist, and a deep learning researcher passionate about technology. After earning his BBA in HR and Marketing from North South University, he began his career at Marico Bangladesh Ltd., gaining experience in sales, marketing, and supply chain. Now, as Founder and CEO of Double R Studios BD, he leads creative storytelling. He also worked at BAT Bangladesh, focusing on employee engagement and operations. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, SMIEEE and Fellow IEB, is a professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BUET and earned her doctorate from Concordia University. She is the 2023-2024 IEEE WIE Committee Chair and has led key IEEE roles, including in Awards, Signal Processing, and the Computer Society. With 24 years of IEEE experience, she has received major awards and led impactful projects in women empowerment, technology, and humanitarian work.
