𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗖𝗗𝗜/𝗩𝗢𝗖𝗔 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁! 🌿 The USDA Food for Progress-funded Bangladesh Climate Smart Livestock (BCSL) Project, implemented by ACDI/VOCA, focuses on climate-smart practices and inclusive market systems to improve productivity, trade, and environmental health. It aims to help 200,000 farmers of cattle and goats, along with 50,000 other stakeholders and is creating new goals for growth and strength in the livestock sector in the country. Innovision is conducting a Financial Landscape Assessment to address the key challenges of financial inclusion in Bangladesh's livestock sector. The research will try to identify the challenges that farmers and small and medium enterprises face in accessing financial services. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, since they are usually not accorded enough support in this very important area. The assessment will suggest clear steps for closing the gap between FSPs and livestock farmers to help them get better financial access and fairness. To this end, the study will work with key stakeholders such as the central bank, government agencies, and financial institutions to build a financial system that supports farmers and encourages sustainable growth in the livestock industry. This collaboration holds a strong promise to help everyone access finance, improve climate readiness, and create a fair future for Bangladesh's livestock industry.
