The Linné-Plantes project by A2M Architecture has just been published in a new book by DETAIL Business Information GmbH titled: Building in Existing Contexts. This project, designed about ten years ago and completed in 2018, is a pioneer in sustainable building in the holistic sense of the term. Timber-frame construction, preservation and renovation of existing concrete structures, an ultra-high-performance building envelope, green roofs, rainwater management, spacious terraces for every unit, passive measures to prevent overheating, building-integrated photovoltaic panels, biobased construction materials, and shared facilities — you name it, it is all there, and long before adaptive reuse, circularity, and 'good living' became common topics of discussion. We are proud to see this project published alongside a range of other projects of international acclaim. Designing with climate, nature, and people as drivers: that is the essence of A2M's practice. This building is a prime example of that. More info: https://lnkd.in/dAGHpDDv
