  •  🙏 I am incredibly grateful for Merck Healthcare's invitation to take the floor and lead a workshop on how to equip their leaders to better support employees facing a cancer diagnosis ! 🎗️ 🎯  The session provided practical tools for handling with empathy and clarity the often sensitive conversations about health.   • 🏋♀️ La charge mentale liée à la gestion administrative est énorme pour les patients. 🗣️ Il leur faut répéter encore et encore leur parcours, garder les éléments clés de leur dossier pour chaque entretien, alors qu'il leur faut également gérer leur santé. 🌞 On sait que le travail, une activité, est un facteur de guérison. J'en parlais encore leur du dernier module de la formation des oncocoachs 🎗️ Mais pour cela, il faut que le retour soit adapté en matière de rythme et de respect de la qualité de vie. Et contrairement à une croyance largement répandue, oui, c'est bénéf aussi pour l'employeur (encore une fois, quand c'est préparé en amont hashtag #disabilitymanagement). ⚖️ 🐌 Donc bon, c'est lent mais ça a le mérite d'être en route : "la plateforme TRIO doit permettre l’échange d’informations médicales entre les médecins conseils, les médecins du travail et les médecins généralistes dans le cadre des trajets « retour au travail », de même que la création d’un dossier individuel pour chaque assuré débutant un trajet de « retour au travail ».   • 💡 Excellent dossier de Benoît Mathieu dans L'Echo ce week-end ! 🙏 Je suis ravie d'avoir pu partager mon expertise de coach & disability manager! 💰 Les coûts économiques de l'invalidité sont énormes évidemment 21 MILLIARDS (y compris les coûts indirects) !   • 🎗 Returning to work after a disease that impacts your quality of life has consequences. 🗣 Being able, and feeling free, to talk about it withing a coaching framework has proven to be of help ! 🙏 I am grateful to support people, after cancer, burn out, long leave of absences, in that journey. And feedbacks prove it makes sense. Not only for patients/workers, but also for employers and social sécurity, since a peaceful return to work is key to a good relationship, retention of talents and loyalty, thus efficiency at work ! 👇 Here are some of the feedback about my workshop in Institut Jules Bordet (the 8th editions).   • 🎗 Today, I took part in the very interesting workshop of the "Study on job retention and return to work for cancer patients and survivors” that Ecorys and Spark Legal and Policy Consulting are organising, on behalf of the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) and Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE). 👉 Since I have had cancer in 2011, I made it my life mission to support cancer patient as coach to feel more empowered, especially in their return to work journey. 🤝 And since it is a whole ecosystem involved with such shareholders like occupational physicist, employer (hr, manager, colleague...), oncologist, insurance... I had to broader my scope. 👉 I thus also work with them as a coach AND a disability manager. Helping to implement a structured way to support the return to work after a long term illness (not only cancer). It is not charity as we know that expenditure on work reintegration and rehabilitation the average return-on-investment ratio for employers is 3.7 ( source :international social security association). ℹ The Ecorys study will soon be published, but the findings do not surprise me !
