Research, innovation and collaboration lead the way in motorcycle safety🏍️✨ Last week, the Institut für Zweiradsicherheit hosted the 15th International Motorcycle Conference held alongside INTERMOT 2024. Experts from industry, academia, and road safety came together to share innovative ideas for safer powered two-wheelers. 💡 ACEM as partners of the conference co-organised a special session under the name "Riding Together to the Future" focusing on the industry’s commitment to road safety by advancing vehicle safety technologies, promoting sustainable transport policies, investing in safer road infrastructure, and encouraging responsible road user behaviour. 🚀 Riding Together to the Future 🏍️ ACEM was honored to lead a special session at the 15th International Motorcycle Safety Conference, organized by the Institut für Zweiradsicherheit in Cologne. 🤝 During our session Riding Together to the Future, we showcased the industry's commitment to safety for motorcyclists as outlined in the Motorcycling Manifesto and the industry’s Vision 2030+. 💡 Additionally we explored cutting-edge innovations in connected riding and future rider assistance systems with Verkehrsunfallforschung an der TU Dresden GmbH, BMW Motorrad , Bosch Research, connected motorcycling consortium and Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. 🙌 A heartfelt thank you to @Institut für Zweiradsicherheit for inviting us to contribute to this crucial event for the industry and to the speakers who brought their expertise to the session. 💼 As of the 1st of December, the new European Commission has kicked the new political mandate.   Continuing our standing collaborative dialogue, ACEM welcomes the new College of Commissioners. We look forward to continuing our efforts to drive progress through the Motorcycling Manifesto supported by FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme), FEMA Europe, and ACEM. Here’s how we aim to make an impact: 🏍️ Road safety: protecting riders as Vulnerable Road Users both in cities and the road network to reach the EU safety goals by 2030; 🍃 Environment and sustainability: developing advanced vehicles to meet the EU climate goals by 2050 enhancing performance and efficiency; 💪 Competitiveness: strengthening the motorcycle industry by creating jobs and contributing to Europe's economic growth; 💡 Research and Innovation: developing cutting-edge technologies for new vehicles and products supporting decarbonisation and safety; 🤝 Leisure and tourism: promoting the social, cultural and sporting value of motorcycling activities for the benefit of the society. 🌍 Highlighting the Motorcycle sector's role at the Italian senate 🏍️ACEM joined public authorities and industry leaders at "Due Ruote in Italia, ANCMA: Facciamo Sentire la Nostra Voce", where Bain & Company Italy study for our member CONFINDUSTRIA ANCMA showcased the motorcycle sector’s economic importance.
