🌍 We proudly present the AIOTI WG Agriculture inputs to the Vision for EU Agriculture and Food 🌱 AIOTI contributed to the Strategic Dialogue in July 2024 by providing its recommendations, in particular to the following question, focusing on digital technologies: How can we make better use of the immense opportunities offered by knowledge and technological innovation? Building on the results of the Strategic Dialogue, the European Commission expressed its intention to deliver a Vision for EU #Agriculture and #Food, in cooperation with the to-be-established EU Board for Agriculture and Food (EBAF). NEXT EVENT | With support from NEPHELE, Inria and SmartEdge, W3C/ERCIM is hosting the AIOTI Workshop on Semantic Interoperability for Digital Twins at the Inria campus in Sophia Antipolis, France on 5-6 February 2025. This workshop will focus on #semantic #interoperability - the ability of computer systems to exchange data with a shared, unambiguous meaning. This is relevant to NEPHELE in respect to the role of controlled vocabularies, taxonomies and ontologies for information modelling for all of our use cases. The event will include success stories and the relationship to #digitaltwins and #datasharing via #dataspaces and will show best practices for use of design patterns, encouraging reuse not reinvention, as well as metrics in relation to evaluating the maturity of vocabularies, #taxonomies and #ontologies, including well defined processes for revisions, #governance and #community feedback.
