🌟 What an exciting Day 2 at the Future Digital Twin & Generative AI Conference!
✨ Today’s panel on "Understanding Challenges and Opportunities with Generative AI and IoT Implementation" brought together some incredible minds and the insights shared were nothing short of inspiring!
💡 Here are the key takeaways:
→ Project managers need to make a strong case for the introduction of costly sensors to reinforce the internet of things (IoT) in their work, which may not produce an immediate return on the investment, but will ultimately help digital twins become more effective, as the technology progresses and ultimately save the company time and money.
→ The different layers of a company need to be joined up when introducing new sensors and new ways of doing things. A worker on a drilling platform needs to understand why new, potentially disruptive techniques will improve his job in the long run.
→ Concern over cybersecurity is understandable and necessary, but too many barriers created between companies working together can prevent technology working as smoothly as it could. For example, third party tech providers may not be able to provide useful software updates rapidly due to cybersecurity-related restrictions.
