"What do you want to talk about?" vraagt LinkedIn mij, als ik een nieuwe post wil plaatsen. Wel, ik wil talken about samenwerken, de handen in elkaar slaan. Daar is deze foto het mooie resultaat van. Een klant die op zoek is naar een magazijnier, een werfleider die de capaciteiten van zijn medewerkers kent en ziet, een OCMW dat mogelijkheden zoekt en een beroepsverkennende stage weet te strikken en Aladin B. die deze kans met beide handen grijpt en aan een mooie toekomst kan verder bouwen! In een ideale wereld leven we niet, maar het aantal gelukshormonen dat zo een samenwerking vrijmaakt, daar kan je wel even op teren! What a welcome! The next stop on our European client visits was Antwerp, to visit Altripan NV, one of Europe’s leading wood panel importers. We were greeted by a surprise – a co-branded mini bus to show us around their impressive port facilities! During the visit we were able to the full range of LUMIN® products including LUMIN TRP and LUMIN TG2 available for distribution across Europe. Thanks to Koen, Gert and the Altripan team for the fantastic hospitality. At Altripan, we are pleased that action is being taken against the import of illegal Russian plywood, which some parties have been importing into the Union via China and other shady supply chains. Immediately after the ban came into effect, we, in consultation with the relevant federations, flagged all suspicious shipments and informed and warned our customers. On the other hand, we regret that other types of wood, which have been imported correctly and legally for decades, have been included in the investigation. As an importer of wood panels from various continents, we are aware of the necessity of diverse supply channels for different markets and applications. We are confident that the European Union will make the right decision to ban import of illegal Russian products and support the import and distribution of sustainable plantation materials such as poplar and eucalyptus.

𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗱𝘂𝘂𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗮𝗺 𝗴𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗻 De FSC-gecertificeerde bosoppervlakte blijft toenemen, maar slechts zeven procent ervan bevindt zich in tropische landen. Het gaat om een gebied dat ongeveer zo groot is als Italië. Het aanbod aan tropisch FSC-hout kan de vraag niet bijbenen. Alternatieven zijn dus broodnodig. “Gecertificeerd hout is de toekomst. In het eerste kwartaal van 2024 had negentig procent van de door ons verkochte plaatmaterialen een duurzaamheidscertificaat en we gaan voor honderd procent”, vertelt Altripan NV directeur Tom De Keyser. “Dat doen we onder andere met de houtproducten van LUMIN. Al in 1997 legde het bedrijf FSC-gecertificeerde Eucalyptus Grandis en Taeda Pine-plantages aan in Uruguay, dat toen nog vooral uit grasland bestond.
