🏃🏁 Yuma Running The Loop! Earlier this October, we had the pleasure of participating in the Run The Loop at Axis Park. This year, we joined forces with fellow Belgian Yuma companies, bringing together four strong teams to represent us! No podium spots this time, but we all felt like winners—sharing high-fives and that feeling of post-race pride. But this event was about more than just speed—it was about building connections and strengthening our team spirit. Last week, I had the pleasure of representing Aprico Consultants at the Yuma stand during Techex Europe at the Amsterdam RAI, particularly for Digital Transformation Week. For those who couldn’t attend, I had the opportunity to listen to a fantastic conference by Michel Herquet, our AI Transformation expert, titled: "From Digital to AI Transformation: Empowering the Human Element." Here are some key takeaways from his inspiring talk: "The reason so many change initiatives fail is that we're asking humans to adapt to machines or digital solutions—something fundamentally unnatural." "Ultimately, success in Digital Transformation or AI adoption comes down to strong transformational leadership and well-managed data to support informed decision-making." "The exciting part? AI gives us the opportunity to rethink machines and digital solutions as adaptable to humans, not the other way around." A huge thank you to everyone who made this event such a success! YUMA: 7 companies unified into one group in just 2 years – challenge met! Bringing together 7 complementary companies under one brand, each a specialist in its field, to cover the entire Digital Transformation journey: an ambitious challenge we have successfully met. Today, unification is well underway: we have moved from a phase of "Diversification," where each entity operated independently, to a now highly effective and structured "Coordination." Through multiple assessments, we are aligning our processes and tools, thereby strengthening collaboration between our entities. The path toward a "Coherent Unification" is almost achieved, making Yuma a strong umbrella brand that brings together not identical, but complementary companies. This challenge reminds us of the counter-example of Sony, which, despite its expertise in both hardware and content, did not manage to align its divisions to create a product comparable to the iPod. One of the main obstacles was the internal fragmentation between its divisions, notably between its electronics branch in Japan and its music division, primarily based in the US and Europe. At YUMA, we aim to demonstrate that successful inter-company coordination is possible. We are moving forward step by step, with a shared vision, to avoid the pitfalls encountered by other mergers or by Sony. This thoughtful transformation, which always favors the path of a win-win consensus, will enable us to create a more agile and high-performing organization.
