(2/4) We continue our overview with 2 projects for which building permits have been granted and construction is planned. The first consists of the conversion of the former NH Hotel on Albertlaan in Ghent, into a student housing project for 113 rooms. With the new academic year at cruising speed, and the bulk of students having found their feet in their new "home", now is the ideal time to highlight a selection of our student housing projects. After less than 18 months of hard work, the first phase of the new hotel complex on the Akkerhage site was solemnly opened last week. In the presence of our client and his team, the contractors and the entire design team, the ribbon was officially cut and the Holiday Inn & Suites could be inaugurated. The new hotel is part of an integrated development with a total of 3 hotels clustered around a central meeting and event center. The Holiday Inn & Suites opened today comprises the second project phase, following the previously opened Residence Inn by Marriott. Gisteren ging ons eerste ArchiCafé on Tour-evenement van start! We waren te gast bij ARCH & TECO in Gent, waar onze BIM-specialisten de belangstellenden meenamen in de meest essentiële en krachtige functies van Archicad. Na de presentatie was er ruimte voor vragen en sloten we af met een gezellige borrel. Daarnaast kregen de deelnemers een digitale Archicad goodiebag mee naar huis. Het was leuk om onze gebruikers face-to-face kennis te laten maken met productspecialisten valérie becquart, Maarten Briers, Jeroen de Bruin en senior accountmanager Stefan Eerlingen. Building permit is granted for our newest office and laboratory project at The Loop in Ghent! The project consists of a plinth volume, connecting to the plinth of the adjacent building (also a project by ARCH & TECO), on top of which a Z-shaped building was positioned. The plinth volume contains 2 parking levels, logistical facilities and an extensive laboratory. The building itself is a compact building consisting of 2 wings connected by an intermediate zone. The wings house the offices. The intermediate zone contains the circulation, as well as outdoor terraces on each floor. The intermediate zone will be linked on the ground floor to the entrance pavilion, and a courtyard with water garden. On top of the unbuilt part of the plinth, an extensive roof garden will be created, with direct contact to the restaurant and the social areas of the building.
