News: Payconiq is now also integrated in the Nickel app. 📲 From now, Nickel clients can enjoy the benefits of Payconiq services within their mobile app. They can scan a Payconiq QR code in stores and online and receive and pay a payment request straight from within their mobile app. This allows even more people to access mobile payments in Belgium. Great news! According to Mollie's annual E-commerce report, Bancontact is the clear leader in most popular payment methods in Belgium. 73% of Belgian consumers consider Bancontact to be their favourite online payment method. ‘Bancontact was introduced in the 1970s and allows consumers to make secure, real-time payments from their bank account via a physical card, contactless technology or a mobile app. Its wide acceptance in Belgium has made it an indispensable payment option for Belgian shoppers.’ This is especially reflected in the current end of year shopping period. We’re proud to announce our collaboration with itsme® in the Payconiq by Bancontact app.   From now on, users of the Payconiq by Bancontact app can safely and quickly set up the app on their smartphone using itsme®. This applies both to the initial set-up of the app by new users and to the reinstallation of the app by existing users, for example when someone changes smartphones.   "We have long been asked by our users why they couldn't install the Payconiq by Bancontact app with itsme®. After all, both apps symbolise simplicity and ease of use," says our CEO, Nathalie Vandepeute.
