Big news: Join the BeClimate Hub co-work, and meet our new CEO! BeClimate Hub started with a bold vision: to create a space for innovators and entrepreneurs in Belgium to accelerate climate and biodiversity solutions. While many of you have connected with our community through our events and our mapping, today, this vision of a “space” is truly coming to life! 🙌 We're excited to share that we've found the ideal partner to bring our vision to life through our merger with 5elements.energy. A fantastic initiative that has already brought together more than 20 companies and 80 #climate #innovators focusing on #energy, all united around the urgent mission of achieving #NetZero. We are joining forces to announce the opening of Belgium’s largest co-working space dedicated to climate and biodiversity startups! Located in the heart of Brussels, BeClimate Hub co-working space opens its doors! This isn’t just a workplace – it’s a dynamic community-oriented hub for the change-makers involved in climate and #biodiversity - energy, #agriculture and #food, #transport & #mobility, #building and #construction. We’re building on the work of both BeClimate Hub community and 5elements.energy ‘s coworking space and ecosystem, to offer 280 desks in a space of over 2,800 sqm. Already, 20+ companies with 80+ collaborators have joined us, driving forward the #innovation we need to tackle the climate and biodiversity crises. 👋 We’re also excited to welcome our new CEO, Alessandra✨ Guion - Gambrill! Her leadership will guide us in expanding our impact even further. 🎙️ Hier, lors de "Radio BeClimate Hub", nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir Growfunding pour une présentation inspirante sur leur impact et leurs méthodes ! 🌟 Growfunding ne se limite pas à être une simple plateforme de financement participatif. Ils utilisent le crowdfunding civique comme un outil pour renforcer le lien social, créer des partenariats durables et favoriser des projets à impact local et social. 💡🌍 Leur mission ? ➡ Aider les porteurs et porteuses de projets à collecter des fonds ➡ Construire des réseaux solides et inclusifs ➡ Trouver des espaces pour rassembler des communautés ➡ Communiquer avec impact pour faire rayonner les projets 💡 Avec une méthodologie structurée et un accompagnement sur mesure, Growfunding transforme des idées en action. 📢 Back to our Thursday lunchtime #RadioClimatehub! 🎙️ 👉 This week, we had the pleasure of listening to Eric Pascal Rwamucyo from RaYSun. He told us about the current situation and prospects for renewable energy communities. 💡 Energy communities (ECs) are associations of people or businesses who produce and supply renewable electricity to each other, and offer a number of opportunities and advantages:  1️⃣ Accelerating the energy transition: ECs enable the decentralization of renewable energy production, promoting local, sustainable and collaborative consumption. 2️⃣ Reduced energy costs: By pooling resources and sharing renewable energy, participants can reduce their electricity bills while stabilizing their costs over the long term. 3️⃣ Positive environmental impact: Thanks to the expansion of ECs, significant reductions in CO2 emissions are possible, contributing to national and European climate objectives. 4️⃣  Social inclusion and the fight against energy poverty: ECs promote the inclusion of vulnerable households in the energy transition by offering them accessible, solidarity-based alternatives. 📣 RadioClimateHub - Innovative Thursday lunchtime talk - 03/10/24 📣 As of October 1, 5elements.energy has merged with BeClimate Hub. This means that Radio5E's Thursday lunchtime talk is now called “The RadioClimateHub”.  And for this premiere under a new name, Julien Jirikoff, founder and CEO of WISE. Energy Inc. is taking the floor to discuss his company's vision and innovative projects. Currently, WISE. Energy Inc. is focusing on the development of a smart box, “Wise.Brain”, whose aim is to decarbonize the energy of companies, whether they are active in industry, agriculture, the healthcare sector, distribution or food & beverage. This tool aims to optimize on-site renewable energy, synchronizing it hour by hour with the company's consumption and reality. This optimisation is virtuous, unlocking additional energy sources and revenues.  On a day-to-day basis, Wise.Energy places collective intelligence at the heart of its work, regularly collaborating with other BeClimateHub members.
