Should designers receive ongoing compensation when their designs gain widespread use? 🤔 💡 Strong IP rights aren’t just about fair compensation—they’re a strategic business advantage. When companies protect their designers’ IP rights, they: — Maintain quality control over design implementation. — Prevent unauthorized modifications that could harm users. — Build trust with customers through authentic, protected designs. — Ensure consistent user experience across all applications. 🎯 Design protection creates a win-win scenario: designers get recognized for their work, businesses maintain quality standards, and end-users receive reliable, authentic products and services 🤩 The Alliance France Design 🇫🇷 participates in European design protection policy with Beda 🇪🇺 ➡️ Explore comprehensive resources on design protection at BEDA - The Bureau of European Design Associations: https://lnkd.in/eFixhNEp 🗓️ NOVEMBER 26TH AT 15:00 ⁉️ Have questions about IP rights? There are three main ways designers utilise intellectual property rights (IPRs) in business. 💼 Which one is the best for you? 1) Use IPRs in their own business - identifying and protecting valuable assets and enforcing and monitoring the market. 2) License their designs to others, retaining ownership while allowing others to use the design under agreed terms. 3) Transfer all rights to a third party, effectively selling the design, with terms for potential royalties. Join the online session 'Designer, know your rights!' on 📅 26 November, 15:00-17:00 CET, to learn more about practical resources for your design protection and experience from other designers. 👉 Register and learn more about the resources here: https://lnkd.in/dPn-DhNA ▶️ Watch the full video of Iiris Adenius, the lawyer at Ornamo Art and Design Finland, explaining how designers can use IP Rights for their business: https://lnkd.in/dnh2U3wJ Organised by BEDA and Ornamo Art and Design Finland and supported by EUIPO - European Union Intellectual Property Office.
