The EU #CodeofConduct launched by the EU Health and Food Safety offered a unique platform for sectors like ours to demonstrate the value of #voluntary #commitments! UNESDA - Soft Drinks Europe takes its #responsibility very seriously as we demonstrate once again under our latest monitoring report 📣📣📣 Very promising results on #circularity and #sugarreduction, paving the way to delivering on the food and drink's industry of creating a #healthier and more #sustainable food and drink environment. I truly hope the new European Commission will continue this platform under the next mandate 🤝🤝🤝
📣 We’ve got a new progress report on our #EUCodeOfConduct commitments! We are making significant strides in #SugarReduction and #PackagingCircularity, delivering on what we committed to do. Collectively, under the UNESDA umbrella, our corporate members: ✅ achieved a reduction of 10.8% in average added sugars in our #SoftDrinks between 2019 and 2023 across Europe, reaching our target of a 10% reduction in average added sugars two years ahead of time. ✅ increased their use of #RecycledPET (#rPET) by 7 percentage points between 2022 and 2023. As a result, in 2023, an average of 39.6% of the PET used in our plastic bottles was recycled PET. 🔎 Read our report now! 👇 https://lnkd.in/dYaPfC8s EU Health and Food Safety FoodDrinkEurope #ClosingTheLoop #DoingOurPart
