Today, we're announcing the completion of our Ecopia tyre range with ENLITEN technology, following the launch of Ecopia Trailer. With this latest addition to our flagship long-haul range, highway fleets can now improve fuel efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership across Steer, Drive and Trailer axles – while all three also contribute to significantly reduced CO2 emissions when both in use and throughout their production. The latest Bridgestone Ecopia range significantly outperforms its previous generation for CO2 emissions reduction across its lifecycle, with the Steer and Drive tyres receiving independent, pioneering ISO 14067 certification. Bridgestone Ecopia’s reduced ownership costs and environmental impact on the roads are made possible by decreased rolling resistance and improved wear life compared to its previous generation, enabled by ENLITEN technology, our innovative approach to tyre development. The United Nations has launched a global campaign to tackle an issue responsible for 1.2 million deaths and 40-50 million injuries worldwide every year: road safety. Reaching approximately 1,000 cities in more than 80 countries, the #MakeASafetyStatement campaign is focused on creating awareness for this worldwide issue and inspiring action to save lives. It's all part of the UN's efforts to help halve road-related deaths and injuries by 2030 efforts we're proudly contributing to as supporters of the United Nations Road Safety Fund and Friend of the United Nations Special Envoy for Road Safety. As part of that work, we’ve made road safety a core priority throughout our business globally. From delivering products and services that underpin safety and security, to funding and facilitating road safety education in our local communities, we’re here to help build a world where roads are safe for every road user, everywhere. We’re very proud to share that Bridgestone has won the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in recognition of the Bridgestone Road Safety Program (BRSP). The BRSP unifies our work to improve road safety in over 150 countries and regions where we have a business presence. Combining road safety education, knowledge-sharing and partnerships, it’s the cornerstone for our support of the United Nations’ goal of halving road traffic deaths and injuries by 2030. Earlier this year, we launched the Potenza Sport A, Bridgestone's first mass-produced tyre to incorporate 55% recycled and renewable materials, following certification from International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS. Marking the latest chapter in our long-standing partnership, the new Bridgestone Potenza Sport A was selected by AUDI AG as original equipment for its new Audi e-tron GT family. The bespoke tyre has been engineered to enhance the high-performance capabilities of the Audi e-tron GT – providing the top performance required by Audi’s latest fully-electric S to RS performance models, while also delivering outstanding safety and sustainability. Developed with ENLITEN Technology, our ultra-high-performance tyre delivers best-in-class energy efficiency, contributing to the Audi e-tron GT’s exceptional range of around 500km.
