About us

Bulo creates furniture that puts design on the forefront, with the spirit of innovation that not only fulfills functional requirements, but also adds to the quality of working and living for both the individual and organization. With the first modest file pedestal (what is known today as Mr. Walter), the company has since grown into creating a wide range of furniture, engaging collaboration from local and international designers. With the support of Bosq, a sister company specializing in wood veneers and carpentry, Bulo can deliver customization and bespoke pieces in seamless production. With the skill and love of the craft for over 50 years, Bulo remains true to creating beautiful, innovative furniture that inspire and support the environment they live in.

The Baroque Predikherenkerk monument: a true architectural gem Built in 1729, the church experienced four distinct phases and fulfilled several purposes throughout its history. Its renovation started in 2020 and ended only a few months ago. What was once close to a ruin has now been fully restored to its former glory. Repurposed for a new life, the redesigned Predikherenkerk is now a cultural hub, offering endless possibilities. It hosts cultural events, conferences, meetings, and provides a space for artists. Additionally, the church will act as an extension of the adjacent historical library. The VVD Bistro Chair designed by @vincentvanduysen was chosen as seating element in this unique venue. Its sleek, minimalist design perfectly complements the Baroque setting of the church. The green-grey color harmonizes beautifully with this historic environment. Whether as chairs or barstools in the foyer, or as upholstered seating in the auditorium, they offer exceptional comfort and elegance to all visitors. The Predikherenkerk seamlessly blends the past and the present. #bulo #bulodesign #furniture #furnituredesign #bulointeriors #interiordesign #interior #vvd #vincentvanduysen

It's an honor we're the global winner of the SBID® - Society of British & International Interior Design Award in the Surfaces & Finishes category with our circular innovation WoodSaver®. This technology, developed by Bulo & Bosq, represents a breakthrough in sustainable woodwork. While finger-joint connections have been standard in solid wood, WoodSaver® takes it further, utilizing short veneer remnants that would otherwise become waste. Through a unique production method, we repurpose up to 80% of these high-quality pieces into valuable materials, making WoodSaver® truly one-of-a-kind for circular and sustainable design. https://lnkd.in/et95Jexy

Bulo x Van Damme Vandeputte Architects: Wegmarkeringen De Groote Project We’re proud to have collaborated with Van Damme Vandeputte Architects on the Wegmarkeringen De Groote project in Nazareth. Our H2O collection was key in furnishing the dynamic office spaces, featuring sleek black tabletops in the open workspaces that contrast elegantly with the luxurious smoked oak and bronze finishes in the executive areas, perfectly reflecting the building’s architectural vision. For public spaces, the Senses collection, designed by Nathalie Van Reeth, brought a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our close collaboration with our sister company Bosq ensured perfect veneer matching across the project for a seamless, high-quality finish throughout. Together, we optimized both aesthetics and functionality, including advanced cable management for a clean, organized workspace. This partnership has truly elevated the design, and we’re excited to keep delivering excellence!
