📢 Welcome to our new Vice-Chairpersons and Board members 📢 Before the year draws to a close, there’s still time for more good news within the CNA community! Please join us in welcoming our two new Vice-Chairpersons, Alain CAFFART from CTS - COMPAGNIE DES TRANSPORTS STRASBOURGEOIS, Alexandre Domingues from TML - Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa. Alain and Alex will work alongside our other Vice-Chairpersons, Thierno Birahim AW, PhD 🚊🚎🚲🌱 from CETUD - Conseil Exécutif des Transports Urbains Durables and Mario Pedro from ENBI. GIE Cartes Bancaires has also announced that Ludovic Verecque of Technical Expertise, will replace the departing Pierre Chassigneux as its delegate on the CNA Board. Welcome Ludovic! This year’s Calypso Award for Best Innovation was won by Wizway Solutions! 🎉🏆 This award recognises providers of Calypso who have set up Calypso-based processes that support global adoption of the Calypso Standard. Wizway won this award for its pioneering solution that uses the Calypso Standard to enable seamless purchase and validation of a full range of tickets directly through Apple Wallet on iPhone or Apple Watch. Congratulations to the Wizway team for the pioneering role it played in this deployment! The other finalists in this category included Thales for its 100% PVC-free card body for Calypso Prime cards, supported by Calypso's enhanced reload allowance, enabling cards to be used longer; and SNCF Voyageurs for its full ticketing system based on Keyple, including mobile reloading on Android and iOS apps, which is unique in the ticketing world - enabling reloads of Calypso Prime, Light and Basic cards from mobile devices. Congratulations to Ile-De-France Mobilités! Worthy winner of the 2024 Calypso Award for Best Customer Value 🥳🏆 This award recognises users of Calypso who provide innovative services, improving the life of users through services based on the Calypso Standard. In 2024, Ile-De-France Mobilités became the first transit authority in Europe to provide its users with a full mobile contactless transit ticketing experience on iOS, via the Apple Wallet. The successful launch enabled Paris to offer greater choice and convenience than ever, in time for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The other finalists for this award were SNCF Voyageurs, for its ‘Screen Card’ proof of concept, providing a real-time ticketing update to cardholders from a Calypso electronic card; and a joint entry from Keolis Group and nagels, for implementing the first large-scale deployment of Calypso Basic, in Orléans, France. We’ve therefore identified the Calypso cards that also comply with RF certification from Smart Ticketing Alliance (STA).
