  • 🌍 On #MediterraneanDay, we celebrate what unites us and reaffirm our commitment to a future of resilience and peace. 🌱 The Mediterranean is a region of immense potential, yet it faces common challenges that require collective action. 💪 That's why achieving a Mediterranean macroregional strategy is so crucial. 🌎 This strategy would enable us to address shared issues like climate change, sustainable development, and economic growth with a unified approach. 🌊 It’s essential for building a more resilient and stronger Mediterranean. 🇪🇺 From Catalonia, we proudly contribute our perspective to Europe and actively collaborate with the new Commissioner for the Mediterranean to make this vision a reality. 🙌 Also, this saturday the Government of Catalonia has organised a concert to commemorate the Day of the Mediterranean in Barcelona: ahttps://lnkd.in/dT3NxdzM #Mediterranean #Macroregion #Sustainability #ClimateAction #Peace #Collaboration #EU #Catalonia

  • 🌍🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Cross-Border Health Innovation at AECT Hospital de Cerdanya / GECT Hôpital de Cerdagne Last week, the EGTC-Hospital de Cerdanya capped off its 10th anniversary with the conference “The Cross-Border Area in the Europe of Health", gathering over 150 attendees, including leaders, experts, and EU representatives, to discuss the transformative power of cross-border healthcare. As Europe’s only bi-national hospital, this institution exemplifies what’s possible when two nations collaborate for the well-being of citizens on both sides of the Pyrenees. The event, with addresses from the Minister of Health, Olga Pané, and the Minister for EU and Foreign Action, Jaume Duch Guillot, celebrated Hospital de Cerdanya as a trailblazer in cross-border health. Speakers praised its unique governance model, joint financing, and commitment to quality care—a pioneering vision that’s become a benchmark of European health cooperation. The Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Barcelona, SZAPIRO Manuel highlighted how cross-border regions represent 40% of the EU’s territory, making Hospital de Cerdanya a vital model for other regions. Meanwhile, Grégory Guibert and Xavier Conill Vergés, from the hospital’s management, emphasized the hospital’s positive impact on citizens’ daily lives and the importance of sustainable territorial cohesion. The anniversary celebration coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Eurorégion Pyrénées Méditerranée - Euroregió Pirineus Mediterrània, another example of fruitful interregional cooperation. #CrossBorderHealth #EuropeanCooperation #EGTCHospitaldeCerdanya #EuroregionPyreneesMediterranean #EUHealth https://lnkd.in/d7tm5evY
