Corning’s Advanced-Flow™ Reactor team recently wrapped up an incredible training seminar, “Making Chemistry Possible with Flow,” bringing together brilliant minds from all over the world!  🌎  Guided by academic experts and industry leaders, this workshop provided a unique opportunity for participants to learn the foundational principles of flow chemistry and explore innovative industrial applications that are driving the future.  Attendees also participated in hands-on experiments to better understand the opportunities available with flow chemistry.        #FlowChemistry #Training 

Jean-Christophe Monbaliu, professor Université de Liège and head of CiTOS: Center for Integrated Technology and Organic Synthesis, received Corning’s International Prize for Outstanding Work in Continuous Flow Reactors & Chemistry earlier this year. The AFR team recently had the chance to celebrate this recognition with Dr. Monbaliu and his team in person and present him with the award. His innovative approach, combining flow technology and quantum chemistry, paves the way for safer and sustainable processes. Congratulations to Hubert for delivering a stellar presentation at the #IMRET17 in Graz! Hubert presented his creative #automation of a flow system for nitration reactions—developed in-house using accessible, affordable components. This system is part of a US FDA funded project focused on producing essential medicines from biosourced starting materials. The project will be further developed downstream by our collaborators at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This work exemplifies our commitment to sustainable and safe chemical synthesis through automation and collaboration. Kudos to Hubert for his passion in developing automation and #flowchemistry. We are proud to share this photo of our own Jean-Christophe Monbaliu delivering a plenary lecture at the #IMRET17! His talk centered around leveraging temperature to intensify reactions for flow. One of the most relevant aspects of the research presented is the development of a priori tools that allow to estimate optimal reaction conditions before experimentation. The Corning International Prize for Outstanding Work in Continuous Flow Reactors & Chemistry has been officially handed to Jean-Christophe Monbaliu, director of CiTOS: Center for Integrated Technology and Organic Synthesis and the FloW4all Resource Center. This award marks an important milestone in Jean-Christophe’s 15-year relationship with Corning AFR, marked by about 20 research publications showcasing the efficacy of Corning Advanced-Flow Reactors and over 26 industrial partnerships leveraging flow reactors for current challenges in process chemistry. We are honored with the visit of Jiang, Yi, GM of global AFR & AFPT and Basile Giese, PLM & regional commercial director AFR & AFPT here at the University of Liège for the occasion. We look forward to continuing to advance the field of hashtag #flowchemistry and harness its power in benefit of the chemical industry.
