European Digital Democracy Summit, one month of follow-up. Takeaways from post-event debates: 1.   Continuing to democratizing infrastructure connectivity is vital objective, notably for emerging regions; 2.   Digital Literacy programmes deployment, namely following DigitalGo! blue-print are crucial; 3.   Culture is transformation enabler, especially to value regional diversity; 4.   Digital Democracy practices, namely as part of e-Governance modernization, are enablers of fair, just and inclusive transition (as referent to triple transition: digital, ecological, social) 5.   Interregional cooperation for capacity building supporting Victory, integration and recovery are critical for Ukrainian Oblasts; More will follow... Exactly one week ago today the public presentation and kick-off of 5G.RURAL was held at the magnificent tapestry museum, in the beautiful city of Portalegre. There were two days of work and sharing of experiences and visions about 5G, challenges and technologies for smart cities and smart communities, ENTI, digital inclusion and territorial cohesion that involved mayors and intermunicipal communities from north to the south of the country, universities, companies, technological suppliers and citizens. It´s a project that mainly aims to promote digital inclusion and interoperability in a disruptive model of connectivity and digital infrastructure dedicated to communities in Alentejo, benefiting them with proximity services in areas such as education, healthcare, energy, tourism, agriculture and culture.
