🇪🇺 This week, the European Parliament held hearings of designated commissioners Stéphane Séjourné (prosperity & industrial strategy), Roxana Minzatu (people, skills & preparedness), and Teresa Ribera (clean, just & competitive transition). Our initial response: 🟧 We welcome the call for social criteria in public procurement, as mentioned by Séjourné and Mînzatu. This is an essential move toward fairer policies that strengthen communities and support social and democratic businesses like #cooperatives. 🟧 During this EU term, we will keep a close watch on Commissioner Séjourné’s SME passport proposal and hold Mînzatu accountable for her commitment to supporting the social economy. We are committed to closely tracking these developments as the Parliament prepares to confirm the Commissioners.
