What do Ice Baths, brainstorming and AI have in common? They all featured on the programme of our first DDMC Event Design Academy at Domaine de Ronchinne in the Ardennes. In this beautiful setting, the entire DDMC team gathered for a two-day deep dive & workshops into wellbeing, creativity and innovation, essential aspects of our work culture, and the experiences we design with our clients. DDMC Event Design took center stage at the Belgium House 🇧🇪 🗝 in the heart of Paris during the Paralympic Games - Paris 2024, creating an immersive digital experience for the "Belgium Embracing Openness" campaign on behalf of the FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister. This activation showcased Belgian expertise and innovation in sports. Upon entering The Door, guests were transported into a virtual stadium filled with unexpected delights and interactive surprises. We had the honor of hosting Princess Astrid, who, alongside Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, officiated the house's grand opening. We are deeply sad to announce that our colleague, Patsy Leemans, passed away last Friday. Suddenly and unexpectedly, we have to say goodbye to her.   Patsy was not only our colleague, an extraordinary project manager, our 'boss' in the field, an iron lady of events, the go-to person for everyone, she was above all our dear friend... We all shared so many intense moments with her, over so many years, that she will leave a huge void in our daily lives and in our hearts.   Our thoughts are with Patsy's husband, her children and grandchildren. Nuclear Energy Summit 2024 💫 On 21 March, Belgium and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) jointly hosted the first ever Nuclear Energy Summit at Brussels Expo. At the request of the FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister, DDMC Event Design was proud to design, coordinate and produce this landmark event, which brought together 37 world leaders and hundreds of scientists, entrepreneurs and civil society representatives to discuss the role of nuclear energy in a net zero future. The nearby Atomium provided the perfect backdrop for this prestigious occasion. DDMC and Renault Group chose SILO Brussels, to host an exclusive five-day E-Tech Pop-Up for Renault in January. Together with manythink, we transformed this old malting brewery into a stunning showcase for Renault’s latest e-vehicles. The vast industrial space in steel, brick and concrete, provided a perfect backdrop for the high-tech aesthetic of the cars, while clever lighting and colourful scenography created a myriad of different spaces for dining, networking and information sessions. Last month, DDMC Event Design organised Toyota’s Kenshiki Forum 2023, with the precious support of Manythink. In the iconic Skyhall at Brussels Airport, journalists from all over Europe discovered the latest electrified models due to hit the roads in the near future and took deep dives into other Toyota, Lexus, Hydrogen, Professional and racing products of a cleaner mobility future. They also got a privileged peek at the mobility solutions foreseen for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
