On European 112 Day, EENA joined MEP Grégory Allione at the European Parliament in Strasbourg for a vital discussion on crisis preparedness, resilience, and EU coordination in civil protection. As part of the event, EENA launched its 2025 112 Recommendations Report, highlighting key trends in emergency communications, including: 📌 The need for better EU-wide coordination in disaster response 📌 The impact of the 2G/3G network shutdown on 112 access and eCall 📌 New technologies like AI and emergency satellite communications 📌 Challenges in public warning systems, with several Member States yet to fully implement mobile alerts The debate brought together MEPs and public safety professionals, including firefighters and emergency services leaders, to discuss interoperability, volunteer mobilisation, and the future of 112 as a crisis response tool. The event also addressed the impact of Storm Éowyn, which left over 1 million Irish households without power or access to 112. Joyeux 112 !

Tänä vuonna palkinto myönnettiin Punainen Risti Ensiavulle, jonka ensiapukoulutuksissa ympäri Suomea on koulutettu hätänumeron käyttöä jo vuosien ajan. Ensiapukoulutusten ansiosta myös 112 Suomi -sovelluksen palvelut tunnetaan paremmin. Suuret onnittelut! 🌹 #112paiva #hätänumero https://lnkd.in/dkPSeW6q
