It's a wrap from the European Hydrogen Week! 🎬 We had an exciting week connecting with industry leaders, exploring the latest #hydrogen developments, and contributing to high-level discussions on key topics like carbon pricing and decarbonization. Here are our takeaways from this year’s edition: 💡 While the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (#CBAM) is a valuable tool to raise #CO2 prices for clean production and ensure a level playing field for imports to Europe, it does not address the challenge of maintaining EU industries' export competitiveness on a global scale. 💡 A successful transition in the #maritime sector requires strengthened cooperation between shipowners, technology providers, fuel suppliers, and port authorities to accelerate #decarbonization efforts. 💡 Certification and standardization are essential for building a reliable international #hydrogenmarket. 💡 While Europe’s hydrogen rollout is moving slower than forecasted, significant strides have been made, with large projects reaching final investment decisions. At Yara, we are committed to advancing sustainable solutions for the future. Only together can we accelerate the decarbonization journey and make hydrogen a pivotal part of the global clean energy transition. 🎯

💚 [ EUROPEAN HYDROGEN WEEK ] 💚 🌍 Working together for a #sustainablefuture with renewable hydrogen! The European Hydrogen Week is much more than an event, it's an opportunity to strengthen our European collaborations and shape the future of #greenhydrogen together. 🤝 On this occasion, our teams exchanged with leading organisations such as: - Hydrogen Europe and Renewable Hydrogen Coalition, of which we are a member, - The Clean Hydrogen Partnership, co-funders of projects such as HOPE: Hydrogen Offshore Production for Europe and AdvancedH2Valley, which we coordinate in France, as well as other European hydrogen valleys (IMAGHyNE, TH2ICINO, BalticSeaH2, and soon in Spain). - The hydrogen association HyCologne Wasserstoff Region Rheinland e.V., with which we were proud to formalize our membership - CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and the #CEFAFIF programme, supporting renewable hydrogen stations and production, in particular for a Lhyfe project selected in 2023. Taia Kronborg, CBO of Lhyfe, spoke at a round table and highlighted the company as a global pioneer in #renewablehydrogen, with four sites already installed in France and Germany and many other sites to be installed by 2026. She underlined the importance of integrating the sites into their energy ecosystems, strengthening offshore ambitions and scaling up to rapidly share lessons learned. She also reiterated the essential role of legislation such as RED III and instruments such as Contracts for Difference in guaranteeing a competitive and fair environment. Lhyfe remains convinced that decarbonation relies on locally produced hydrogen, despite international competition. ✨ Together with our European partners and customers, local authorities and research centres - we are building a strong and sustainable hydrogen sector in the 11 countries where Lhyfe is active. ✨ A big thank you to all the visitors of our stand Hydrogen Europe Research Dr. Albrecht Moellmann, Manuelle Dupuy, Dr. Frank Benzel, Benoît Dovifat, Luc Graré, David Hanel, Karim D., Thibaut Dentin, Constance Lusset, Alice R., Anton Aarts, O. European cooperation ánd collaboration between molecules and electricity are the keys to our future energy supply! I look back with great pleasure on the European Hydrogen Week where I interacted with representatives and parties from around the globe on what is needed to kick-start the hydrogen market. One of the stand out topics was hydrogen storage, which holds the potential to revolutionize our energy landscape by providing unmatched flexibility and security of supply. The hydrogen storage market needs EU support to advance the development of a liquid and integrated European hydrogen market. Therefore, my colleagues and I also visited the European Parliament to explain the crucial role of molecules in our energy system, with an emphasis on affordability and security of supply. My key takeaway of my days in Brussels: make hydrogen storage useful for both the electricity and hydrogen markets by developing a market model that works across sectors. In other words, make sure the market models for electricity and hydrogen match. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue the collaboration. 🙌 #hydrogen #hydrogen #europeanhydrogenweek
