Just wrapped up a great visit to the impressive DEKRA Lausitzring test centre and proving grounds near Dresden. We discussed future plans and how we may work together more effectively to address new issues in sustainability and automotive safety. Did you see that Euro NCAP - For Safer Cars, Vans & Trucks has recently released the first five protocols for the 2026 rating? There's a lot more to come. When I was looking at the new protocols, I noticed that even the parts that were carried over from the current rating have changed in many details. And there's a lot that's been added. That's why I think this year's Euro NCAP Update (www.carhs.de/euroncap) will be particularly helpful in learning what has changed and what has been added, even for those areas where the protocols are not yet ready. #euroncap #ncap #vehiclesafety

We've been delighted to welcome Euro NCAP - For Safer Cars, Vans & Trucks and leading figures from the commercial vehicle and road safety fraternity to our test facility in Nuneaton today, for the official launch of the new TRUCK SAFE assessment programme. TRUCK SAFE is a new rating initiative that aims to improve safety standards in the Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) segment. Testing and evaluating passenger cars, Light Commercial Vehicles and now HGVs is crucial to Euro NCAPs mission to achieve 'Vision Zero'. We've been proud to contribute to the programme by conducting some of the tests that have been used to determine the star rating results for the first cohort of HGVs. As well as providing the backdrop for the unveiling of these results, our test track facilities were also used to conduct vehicle demonstrations and test simulations earlier today. Euro NCAP - For Safer Cars, Vans & Trucks has introduced its first-ever TRUCK SAFE assessment program, focusing on Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) safety. The initial set of ratings aims to enhance safety on European roads by evaluating the active and passive safety features of various HGV models. Volvo Trucks emerged as a leader in this new safety assessment, while IVECO’s S-WAY fell short, scoring only one star. Read more >> https://lnkd.in/eaWJW3mM
