EBC is the European organisation representing micro, small and medium-sized companies of the construction sector.
About us
Established in 1990, the European Builders Confederation - EBC - is a European professional organisation representing national associations of micro-companies and SMEs working in the construction sector. The construction sector is of vital importance to the European Economy. With 3 million enterprises, an annual turnover of around € 1600 billion and a total direct workforce of 13 million, the construction sector contributes at around 10% to the GDP of the European Union. 99.9% of the European construction sector is composed of small and medium-sized enterprises, which produce 80% of the construction industry's output. Small enterprises (less than 50 employees) are responsible for 60% of the production and employ 70% of the sector's working population.

📢 Crucial days ahead for Intergroups in the European Parliament As discussions on the re-establishment of intergroups intensify, the European Builders Confederation EBC, alongside the European Housing Forum (EHF), strongly advocates for the renewal of the #UrbanIntergroup in a joint letter. Since its inception in 2005, the Urban Intergroup has been a cornerstone for fostering dialogue and shaping policy on housing and #construction matters. With the increasing urgency of issues such as #affordability, #accessibility, and #energy efficiency, we believe the continued focus of the Urban Intergroup is critical to link stakeholders and policymakers. 🤝 EBC co-signed a letter alongside fellow EHF members, including Architects' Council of Europe (ACE-CAE), the European Association of Real Estate Professions (CEPI aisbl), COFACE Families Europe, FIEC EU , the European Network for Housing Research, Habitat for Humanity, the European Landowners' Organization , Eurocities, the International Union of Tenants (IUT) , FEANTSA, the European Ageing Network EAN, CECODHAS Housing Europe, RICS, and Build Europe. #EuropeanParliament #UrbanIntergroup #RenovationWave Read more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dFYB6bKi
