Yesterday marked a historic milestone for Bulgaria and Romania! 🎉 These two nations have officially become fully-fledged members of the Schengen Area, the world’s largest zone of free travel. As of now, there are no more checks at land borders between Bulgaria, Romania, and other Schengen member countries. 🚗✈️🌊 This follows the lifting of air and sea travel checks earlier this year in March 2024, further strengthening the bonds of freedom, mobility, and cooperation across Europe. Welcome, Bulgaria and Romania, to the Schengen family!

Yesterday, in partnership with Związek Przedsiębiorców i Pracodawców / Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, we had the privilege of welcoming the Accredited Parliamentary Assistants (APAs) to the Networking Cocktail 2024 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. 🥂 This event celebrated the vital work of APAs, whose dedication and hard work behind the scenes ensure the smooth functioning of the European Parliament and contribute significantly to shaping EU policies. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring these essential players together, fostering collaboration and recognizing their invaluable contributions. We were honored to have Michał Kobosko MEP, as the host of the evening. His thought-provoking keynote on the competitiveness of European businesses resonated deeply, addressing the challenges and opportunities for growth and innovation within the EU.
