At the begining of BM88 in Oslo ESU's president Iris Kimizoglu used the opportunity to remind us of Bergen Declaration. What’s this Bergen Declaration that ESU’s President mentioned, and why is it still relevant at this BM in Oslo? 🤔✨ 🌍Drafted in May 2016, the Bergen Declaration brought together student representatives from across the globe to fight for the idea that education is a human right, not a privilege. It addressed critical issues like accessibility, the commodification of education, academic freedom, sustainability, and students' rights to organize and be represented. Fast forward to today’s BM in Oslo, we’re reiterating its core message: uniting for a global student voice and working towards free, inclusive, and high-quality education for all. 📚💡 Fore more info, check our website!
