🌟Inspiring Week at TU Delft, Netherlands Last week, our amazing project team had the pleasure of visiting TU Delft for an inspiring and productive program.   We started on Tuesday with a knowledge session on Aquathermal Energy, focused on exchanging expertise with citizen initiatives. This led to valuable questions and reflections, enriching our collective understanding and approach.   Following that, we held our WaterWarmth project meeting, and what progress we’ve made! All partners have taken significant steps toward achieving the goals of our project. Updates were shared, for instance; the pilots are moving forward and are expected to be operational next year! We’re also thrilled about the upcoming quick scan tool, which will enable cooperatives and initiatives to quickly assess whether aquathermal energy is a viable energy source for their projects. This tool is set to launch by early 2025. Out in the field, much is happening - community meetings, feasibility studies, tackling installation challenges, and navigating permit applications.   It was great to reconnect, share feedback, and take meaningful next steps together.   There was, of course, time to explore the beautiful city of Delft and visit The Green Village, a living lab where various experiments with sustainable energy, recycling, and waste reduction are conducted in a real village setting. These include aquathermal energy, but also geothermal energy, solar power, and hydrogen. The visit was truly inspiring, motivating us to pursue energy independence with sustainability at its core. As the WaterWarmth project, we aim to play an active role in this journey!   We left with ideas and valuable input to continue developing our project. 💡Vandaag kregen we bezoek van federaal parlementslid Kjell Vander Elst en Els De Wolf van UNIZO Vlaams-Brabant & Brussel in het kader van de #DagvandeOndernemer. Tijdens een rondleiding op ons kantoor namen we hen mee in de wereld van aquathermie en hoe deze in volle beweging is. Het was een interessant moment om dieper in te gaan op het potentieel en de uitdagingen van aquathermie, de invloed vanuit beleid en over ondernemen in duurzame warmte. 👉 "De projecten die ze uitvoeren voor bouwheren, voor provincies en internationaal, onderstrepen hun potentieel om écht een verschil te maken." Bedankt voor de mooie woorden Els De Wolf.

Afgelopen weekend keek het EXTRAQT team met bewondering naar het aquathermie potentieel van de River Thames in Londen. 🌇 Een ideale setting voor een fijne teambuilding! Het was een weekend om samen te ontspannen, te verbinden en vooruit te kijken naar mooie plannen en projecten die we met dit team zullen realiseren 🙌 Ideaal moment ook om onze nieuwe collega’s Joris Rombouts en Lenn Coussement volledig mee op te nemen in ons team! Joris zal als account manager onze aquathermie projecten met gesloten warmtewisselaars van start tot oplevering nauw opvolgen. Lenn is onze nieuwe technische expert in duurzame warmte die de haalbaarheid van aquathermie projecten van kleine en grote schaal in kaart zal brengen! Nog eens een warm welkom! 🔥

What a warm week in Vlieland 🇳🇱🌊🔥. With the #AquaCOM Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) project we hosted the first #OpenDays for our early adopters. A vibrant community to explore the potential of community engaged aquathermal systems 💡. We presented masterclasses for the early adopters to engage them in the world of aquathermal heating. However what we mostly learned is that a lot of our early adopters are already more ahead than we expected! Great to see how all their different types of cases have lessons that everyone can learn from. We love to see their aquathermal installations soon in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Ireland 🇮🇪, France 🇫🇷, Germany 🇩🇪 and Belgium 🇧🇪! Thanks for the organisation by Dirk Blom and Andries Metz from the Provincie Fryslân and Evert van de Klundert from the municipality of Vlieland. 👏

Dit weekend vindt de 38ste editie van de molenfeesten plaats in Rotselaar! 🎉 Dit jaar is een van de uitgelichte thema’s aquathermie. De komende jaren wordt namelijk een aquathermie installatie geplaatst bij de Molen van Rotselaar binnen het Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) #AquaCOM project.
