Last week, we hosted the 14th edition of our two-day seminar for master students in Business Administration - Taxation (Handelswetenschappen - Fiscaliteit) at the Belgian coast in Knokke. This annual tradition provides students with a unique blend of learning, networking, and team-building beyond the classroom.
We extend a heartfelt thank-you to our business partners of this edition - A. Coppin & Partners, Atacs - Accountancy Tax Advisory, Deloitte, Forvis Mazars, Moore Belgium, PwC Belgium, and Titeca Pro Accountants & Experts - for bringing challenging real-life business cases, coaching our students and conducting mock interviews, as such helping our 67 students in preparing for their future careers.
Divided into teams of 8 to 12, our students worked diligently to come up with attractive presentations summarizing their solution to the business cases. The highlight? After careful consideration by the jury, the team supervised by Titeca Pro Accountants & Experts took home the trophy. Once more congratulations to the winners!
We would also like to extend special thanks to the ITAA - Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants, and Wibren Patteaux in particular, for giving students insights into the process of becoming chartered accountants/tax advisors. We also thank Gaëlle Houvenaeghel from Partena Professional for offering tips and insights on launching a career as practitioner.
For us, it was a pleasure reconnecting with many alumni who now returned as representatives of the partner firms.
In a nutshell, we look back on yet another successful edition for the students, the partner firms as well as for ourselves. Knokke, we will see you again next year, with a new group of motivated tax students and business partners!
