Federation of European Neuroscience Societies - FENS Winterschool in Obergurgle 🇦🇹 on ‘Protein aggregation in Neurodegenerative disorders’. From insights of the human brain, organoids, non-human primate and cell models to the molecular mechanisms of tau, alpha-Synuclein, TDP43 and Amyloid aggregation. I really enjoyed the discussions between the faculty and PhD students during the lectures and at the fireplace. Great location for discussions, new ideas and collaborations, and skiing ⛷️ 🏔️. ❄️ #FENS-Hertie #WinterSchool | Final Wrap-Up! 🏔️ After 5 action-packed days of presentations, discussions, and outdoor activities, our 2024 cohort is getting ready to leave Obergurgl. Though we're sad to say goodbye, we're overjoyed with the level of engagement and interest our attendees have shown in this year's topic: “Protein aggregation and its consequences in neurodegenerative disorders." 🧠 A special thanks to the outstanding group of #neuroscience researchers who made this year's Winter School a resounding success! 🌟 Gemeinnützige Hertie-Stiftung #FENSSchool #ScienceForHealth

❄️ #FENS-Hertie #WinterSchool | Day 3 and Day 4 Wrap-Up! 🏔️ Between lectures, poster sessions, snow walks, and fireplace chats, it has been a busy weekend in Obergurgl! Over the last couple of days, we've explored a fascinating frontier of #NeuroscienceResearch, with presentations and discussions on topics such as: 🔸 neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's 🔸 cellular mechanisms that explain the onset and progression of the diseases 🔸 and ongoing advances in #neuroscience that may help to improve treatment options for patients. We still have a few activities left before we bring this year's Winter School to a close, so stay tuned! 🔔 #️⃣ And don't forget to share your learning experience with us using the hashtag #FENSSchool.
