Newsflash! 📰  De CEO van Flanders Technology & Innovation Frank Hamerlinck schittert vandaag op de cover van de Trends-bijlage ‘Optimize Your Business’. Hij deelt zijn visie op AI, data en innovatie in Europa.  Key takeaways:  ✔️Innovatie = welvaart: AI speelt een sleutelrol, maar Europa hinkt achterop door de strenge en complexe regelgeving rond data-ontsluiting. ✔️Data is het nieuwe goud. Europese data en modellen zijn nodig om AI te ontwikkelen die relevant is voor onze context. Last night, we attended HINT.GENT, where our Health Expert Tom Braekeleirs delivered an inspiring keynote on acceptable AI in healthcare, and Louis Behaeghe shared a powerful stakeholder pitch about FTI and the community of Forward Thinkers #FTI Alliance. HINT, the Health Intelligence Network, is working towards a future where people and AI technology complement each other – integrating innovation responsibly to improve healthcare outcomes. Key takeaways:  📊 Data always contains bias. While we should aim to minimize it, a completely unbiased dataset remains a utopia.  🤖 Shifting to AI can reduce bias, but it’s not the ultimate solution. The question of acceptable bias will become more pressing.  ⚖️ Balancing promise and practice means carefully weighing risks and benefits—using data responsibly, without misuse. At FTI, we’re committed to fostering these critical conversations and driving innovation that serves a greater good.
