𝐃𝐨𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐠 𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭, 𝐧𝐮 𝐝𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐠 𝟑 𝐣𝐚𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬🖋️ De Vlaamse regering heeft beslist dat vanaf 2025 de verdachte periode bij niet-geregistreerde schenkingen wordt opgetrokken van drie jaar naar vijf jaar. Wat betekent dit concreet? Wanneer u vanaf 2025 een belastingvrije hand- of bankgift doet, en u overlijdt als (1) inwoner van het Vlaamse Gewest (2) binnen de vijf jaar na de schenking, zullen de begunstigden op de schenking erfbelasting moeten betalen. Op vandaag is dit alleen bij een overlijden binnen de drie jaar na de schenking. Deze termijn wordt dus verlengd met 2 jaar voor schenkingen vanaf 1 januari 2025. Indien je van plan bent om een hand- of bankgift te doen, doe deze dan nog in 2024, gezien de verdachte periode nu nog drie jaar is.   𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐩: bij de uitvoering van een hand- of bankgift moeten bepaalde formaliteiten correct doorlopen worden. Wij kunnen u hier uiteraard bij assisteren.

💡 Belgium recently transposed the EU's CSRD into national law. On 28 November 2024, the Belgian Parliament adopted a bill to address the overdue deadline of 6 July 2024. The CSRD mandates more extensive sustainability reporting requirements for companies, requiring information on ESG factors in line with ESRS. The new reporting obligations will be phased in over the upcoming years according to company size and other factors.
