👉 We have just submitted the final version of our first article on secondary local flexibility markets which will be presented at CIRED (International Community on Electricity Distribution) 2025 in Switzerland. 👉 I really love this article. Our new paper, which proposes a unified framework for computing hosting capacities for distribution networks, has just been published. I’m thrilled to announce that we have just submitted a new paper titled “𝐀𝐧 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬.” ⚡ In this work, we address the critical challenge of understanding how customers are connected to the power grid, a problem known as 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐓𝐏𝐈). The method uses only static data such as 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 (𝐆𝐈𝐒) data and 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐕/𝐋𝐕 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬, without requiring expensive 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐀𝐌𝐈) data. The problem is tackled using 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐈𝐋𝐏), offering a robust solution to manage 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚. By solving the TPI problem, 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 (𝐃𝐒𝐎𝐬) gain a deeper understanding of network connectivity, building 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 of their distribution networks to support better 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬. 📈 Check out the preprint here: https://lnkd.in/dX5ZvRbq I would like to thank my co-authors: Adrien Leerschool, Alireza Bahmanyar, and Laurine Duchesne from Haulogy, Simon Gerard and Thomas Wehenkel from RESA, and my supervisor Damien Ernst for their incredible support. 👉 It was a pleasure to present my new talk at ECML today. 👉 I worked more than a month on the slides but it was a great success 😊 I think that people really enjoyed it. 👉 The talk takes you on a journey through the different layers of power systems, with the aim of showing to machine learning (ML) researchers the numerous decision-making problems each layer presents. Exciting day at RTE France with my colleague Laurine Duchesne. We had the opportunity to present and discuss our incredible project on robust optimization under uncertainty. This project is the result of a strong collaboration between Haulogy, RWTH Aachen University, and RTE. Looking forward to seeing where this innovative journey takes us!
