What a year 2024 has been! I feel so proud to call Antwerp my home: a city full of love, creativity, and endless culinary inspiration. This year, I’ve discovered so many amazing new restaurants and had the joy of organizing Hungry Antwerp events. I love bringing people together wo love to socialize, eat, drink, enjoy and of course put some places in the spotlight. Hungry Antwerp hosted the next event in collaboration with Baroque Baroque, and what an experience it was! Baroque Baroque doesn’t just cater your event; they create a full experience. From tailored menus with perfectly paired drinks to event styling and exceptional service, they truly deliver magic. The brunch was picture-perfect, with stunning floral designs by January Flower adding a touch of elegance. The chic tableware and bar setup were provided by Options, a leading event equipment rental service in Europe. We also partnered with GIMBER, an organic alternative to alcoholic drinks, and served a delightful mocktail with elderflower and ginger. I had the incredible opportunity to be invited by Eurostar for an exclusive preview of their new Premier dining experience during a private event at the iconic St. Pancras station in London. Eurostar is elevating train travel with the introduction of their new Premier dining offer, which will launch on November 4th. Three renowned chefs: Jeremy Chan, Jessica Préalpato, and Honey Spencer have joined forces to create a creative and sustainable menu for Premier customers, as part of Eurostar’s launch of three travel classes: Eurostar Standard, Eurostar Plus, and Eurostar Premier. A huge thank you to Eurostar for this unique and inspiring experience. The fourth Hungry Antwerp event was a success in collaboration with Chef Maxime Pauwels at Plein Publiek. MP Culinary focuses on creating unique dining experiences that mix classic recipes with modern flavors, with an emphasis on high-quality ingredients and seasonal products. At our event, guests enjoyed a delicious Italian 4-course menu. Thanks to Malfy Gin and Lillet Pernod Ricard, we were able to provide them with some delightful cocktails too. The table setting featured beautiful flowers thanks to Flowers By Yoko (BE)creating the perfect Italian atmosphere. After 16:00, additional guests joined us at Plein Publiek Rooftop to dance with some good music by @clubcopains, and late-night snacks provided by Maxime. A perfect way to end the summer, right? The third Hungry Antwerp event was a huge success! Together with Avenue d’Apero, we hosted La Dolce Vita, an Italian sparkling wine tasting paired with delicious bites. A big shout-out to Nonno Tiramisù for serving one of the best tiramisus in Antwerp, and to Pomton Drinks for perfectly elevating our cocktails. At a time when many people are hiding behind their smartphones and dating apps, it's essential to step away from the digital world from time to time and make real, in-depth communications. That's why Hungry Antwerp felt it was necessary to organize a second event together with Udate at the beautiful restaurant Fidèle. It was great to see people stepping out of their comfort zone and participating in speed dating for the first time.
